Tomorrow in my Instagram Stories I will be having a quilt sale! Quilts are priced to move. Baby quilts starting at $100 to large throws at $400. 13 quilts total.

Come make a Quilted Pouf with me Textile Arts Center of Madison

Saturday, October 17 - 10am-4pm

Use your scraps, orphaned/extra blocks, or a charm pack you bought and is calling to be used; to create an adorable pouf! Then fill it with those teeny tiny scraps/off cuts you’ve been saving or use filling.
During this one day workshop I will walk you through piecing your sides, quilting, and assembling your pouf. Leave it open to continue to fill or fill it completely and we’ll finish it in class! The pouf I patterned is roughly 14” cubed, but we can easily figure out a different size. Or make tiny ones and use them as pin cushions!

My hope is that this workshop will be pretty relaxed, work at your own speed. Bring a friend to talk to or come alone and create in community.

I made these with my Bookworm summer camps. They had a lot of fun, I think you will too!

October 1 - Couch Caddy
I always have a couch project going. This handy caddy holds everything, including loose threads! I made the pattern a standard size, but feel free to bring your couch arm measurements and we’ll make it work!

November 19 - Quilted Zipper Pouches
Excitingly this one is already full. Join the waitlist!

December 10 - Scandinavian Star Ornaments
We filled a session and added another! These impressive looking ornaments will fill your home with whimsy. Make them holiday themed or use your favorite color - there are no rules!

Between my 6 😳 kid’s camps this summer, I helped with costumes for Shrek the musical in Beaver Dam (BDACT). I had so much fun with this experience!
It helped that Drew got to wear the ones I put the most creativity into; the guards and rat tappers. Seeing the effort and time it takes to assemble costumes for a large ensemble was impressive.
P.S. hot glue is not good enough, E6000 is always the answer!

Textiles from London, Amsterdam, and Denmark. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of textile and fiber art that found us along the way.

My favorite surprise textile find was in my favorite castle, Fredericksborg in Hillerød, Denmark. There was a temporary exhibit of different tapestries and needlepoint rugs. They had original pieces next to recreations.
