The welcome sign was a lil too fragile by itself, so I framed it in black walnut and Baltic birch, and screwed it in from the back. It didn't look finished or complete by itself either. Now it does.
Had to break out some high school math to figure out the oval layout, square roots and all.
Overall a challenging and fun project. 6 hours planning, designing and laying out the patterns and prepping gluing the wood, 6 hours cutting on the scroll saw, 2 on assembly and finishing.
