Normally, I make candles, but I'm so excited about the upcoming Outlander series on Starz based on the books that I've loved over and over for years ... created this bracelet. Well, I bought the bracelets, and added a genuine Baltic amber bead ... Dragonfly in Amber ... referenced in many of Diana Gabaldon's books. I'm reminded of Jamie Fraser every time I look at my wrist! James and Claire Fraser are like friends to me. If you haven't started reading yet ... DO IT ! If you want a bracelet like mine ... $10. Put Your WORDS to WICKS! Everyone likes to see their name in print! Do it on a candle next time you need a gift or have a party event for which you need favors. "Put Your Wicks to Words!" And, make the world smell better at the same time!

I use many different brands of candles .... Yankee, Mia Bella, Little House, or the generic ones available in the craft stores. I can decorate a candle to fit any budget ! Basically, any photo or digital image can be turned into a decal to decorate the glass, and any words can be part of the decoration.

Many of you know that I recently lost my precious cat, Bert. He was 16 years old and in those years, he became my best friend. I made this candle that shows him sound asleep resting on my knee. The inscription is from the play, "Titanic." "May God's Heaven be your blanket as you softly sleep, softly sleep ..." The ends of the ribbons hold tiny tufts of his fur. God, I miss him so !

Going to a show? Send a little gift backstage before the show to someone you know with best wishes for broken legs. If you do shows, start a collection of candles with pictures of YOU on stage. Great thank-you gift for Directors and tech crew, etc.

My granddaughter, Tyler, at our traditional 4th of July celebration in St. Charles, Missouri. This was 2008. She's now 10 years old!
