Happy Friday To Me!!! 🎨🖌️🖼️

My two latest art acquisitions are finally making their way to my home, “House Piazza” today.

I’m such a lover of beautiful art, as in my opinion art is indeed an investment that just keeps on giving.

These beauties were love at first sight!! I literally couldn’t take my eyes off of them. 👀 Whenever, I fall in love with a piece - be it art, furniture, a decorative accent, etc…I’ll stare and stare and stare and then carefully study the piece. If I don’t do that, it means I don’t love it and it won’t come home with me.

But if I do all of the above and more - it’s pretty much a done deal that I’ve been, “Allured By Design” See what I did there? 😉💁🏽‍♀️

I always encourage my audience and all of my “Allured Loves,” to take your time selecting pieces for your home. What you like today, you may not like tomorrow, as design trends change. But if you focus on buying only what you love, will the pieces be timeless in your home.

Both of these beauties are framed in baroque style frames and nothing is more timeless than a baroque frame, as it’s been captivating hearts and beautifying homes since the 17th Century, originating in Italy in the 1600s and spreading across Europe in the late 1700s.

When I tell ya’ll baroque framing is my JAM!!

In this particular recap, I’m recapping my entire extended Summer weekend trip to New York last month for the JAŸ-Z Yankee Stadium Concerts. If you missed any of my social media posts about this trip, it’s now all covered in my newsletter.

In addition to the concert, I’m recapping and sharing loads of highlights from this trip, including my visit to Americana Manhasset, the outdoor high-end, luxury mall in Long Island, NY.

This recent extended Summer weekend trip to New York gave me everything and more. So much so that a month and change later, I’m still very joyful about!! An excerpt from the newsletter reads…

While there are so many other places I have yet to explore and experience, I'm forever grateful for everything I feel when I'm in either of these places.”

Our relationship with RH Gallery dates back over a decade as a loyal client and an RH member. I’m always excited to visit and tour their showroom floors here in the United States and excited to begin touring their international showrooms as well - taking our audience along the journey with us.

Wherever there’s a Restoration Hardware, there is joy in my heart!! ♥️ Especially if I’m nearby and in the same town.

Visiting the Manhasset, NY location at the Americana Manhasset outdoor luxury mall was such a treat and I’m so happy I had a chance to tour the showroom floor, which just recently opened its doors earlier this year.

So far this year - I’ve visited the Chicago Gallery and the newest Long Island, NY location in Manhasset. I have another location I’ll be visiting before the end of this year. You’ll have to stay tuned for that to see if it’s an international visit or another showroom floor in the United States.

ALLURED BY DESIGN® PRESENTS A GREEK FILM & AN ITALIAN DINNER MEET & GREET…

July 2026 was a super busy month for me!! Yet, no complaints and only gratitude. 🙏🏽 Immediately after I traveled back home from New York last month, I had to switch gears and prep for my 1st travel social meet & greet for all of my “Allured Travelers.” 🛩️🧳🌏

I had less than one week to finalize everything for my group!! Confirm our movie venue, confirm our dinner reservations, write out everyone’s “Thank You” cards (because yes, I still believe in the power of a hand written note)…✍🏽😉

Figure out my hair, makeup and my overall look to host all of these amazing people who made the decision to book my next international design & lifestyle group trip heading to…

Greece & Rome
June 4th - 15th 2027

In honor of the two countries we’ll be visiting, our travel social, meet & greet theme was all about Greece & Italy. We started with meeting up at The Broad Theater The Broad Theater 📽 to watch a screening of the new Greek film by Christopher Nolan, “The Odyssey!!”

After the film, we all headed to TANA Italian Restaurant | Old Metairie restaurant where we had reservations for our group in their “Villa” space and enjoyed cocktails & a most delicious Sicilian / Italian meal. 🍽️

All of my travelers were not available to participate in our social, as some of my travelers do not live in New Orleans - so the ones that weren’t there were truly missed. Yet, I’m so grateful for the ones that did attend. 🤗

It meant everything to me for as many of my travelers as possible to meet & greet one another beyond our zoom calls - connect in person and get familiar with who we will all be spending a portion of our Summer with next year in Europe. And, the time we had together couldn’t have been more beautiful!!

CHRISTMAS IN JULY 🎄

Before the final day of “Christmas In July” ends…

I’m sharing a look back at last year’s Holiday Look 2025. Every year, I fall in love with the holiday looks I create & execute in my home, “House Piazza.” 🏡

But last year’s look truly stole my heart away!! The pairing of chocolate and wine (crimson, garnett, ruby and deep reds) for my bedroom theme and the traditional red and green in my formal dining room. And, of course the blues and reds in my living room area. They were all such a joy & delight to curate and design.

I have not gotten around to figuring out what colors I’ll be executing this year, as it’s far too early at least for me to have it all figured out. But hopefully by early or mid-Fall, I’ll have an idea of what direction I’ll be going in this year.

Red has most definitely had me in a serious chokehold for the last few years!! Because red just screams Christmas!! However, I’m still unsure if the reds will or won’t continue in my home this year. But I do believe an updated chocolate theme may perhaps stick around for a while because it’s simply too beautiful and unique not too.

In the meantime, it’s never too early to start getting holiday inspiration, as the holiday season will be here before we all know it. So be sure to catch up or revisit
