I started this painting in a season where God felt distant. I finished it knowing He never was.

Two paintings. Same season. Same ground.
“Emerging Through Darkness” is where I was. “Redeemed” is where He brought me.

Same palette. Same hymnal pages beneath. Same gold leaf. One darker, one glowing. Painted weeks apart but holding the same truth that He is faithful in the middle of it, not just at the end.

Both are part of something releasing this Friday.

I just know when it’s right.
There’s a theology in that..grace landing exactly where it’s needed, unearned and unexpected. I work in layers.
Hymnal pages, collage, paint, gold leaf. Most of it gets covered. The foundation is important even if it’s not fully seen. There’s a strength and peace that comes from it.
