In the art studio ... "The Chapel in the Snow" is finished.
Do you live in a state where you have snow? We sure do in Upstate NY! I'm not an outdoors girl in the winter, but I will venture out for a walk or ride to gather winter inspiration to take into the art studio. ❄️

Happy January! It's cold but beautiful today in Upstate NY. We are praying constantly for those suffering today due to the fires in California. Many have lost their homes and are in shock. The future is uncertain, and each day is a journey of grief. I'm feeling blessed to have my home. We need to take nothing for granted. Love to you all this Friday. Let us know if we can help in anyway. 🙏🏼♥️

My last big painting for 2024, "Old St. Nicholas"
Did you know .. Nicholas traveled the countryside helping the sick and those less fortunate. One of his most famous stories is about saving three sisters from being sold into slavery or prostitution by their father. He secretly dropped a bag of gold into their stockings each night for three nights so their father could pay their dowries.

9 days until Christmas! Are you ready? Not me! I'm getting close, though. This is a view in our bedroom. There is nothing like a Faux fireplace to hang stockings. Breathe deeply, friends. Christmas is not about the hustle. It's about the Holy Night! 🕯

My heart is in the art studio. Painting has become therapy for me. This is a portion of a 10x20 painting that I completed last week. My goal was to capture the calm after Jesus was born and the star shining bright for others to see God's promise. 🌟♥️

The prophet Isaiah writes in Isaiah 7:14 that, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.” This prophecy is fulfilled in the Christmas child, as we see in Luke 1:35

We cut our Christmas tree down today. I turned around and saw this awesome barn. I will never pass a barn without photographing it. They have so much history!! Who loves an old rustic barn in the country? 🙋‍♀️♥️

Thanksgiving is coming! I'm so thankful for Sundays, the day I have the opportunity to join family and friends in worshipping a God who is so good. That doesn't mean all my circumstances are good. Believe me, I have some challenging things going on in my life, but He remains the same despite the circumstances. God is the only constant in my life, always available with open arms. I'm so thankful. I pray yoyr Sunday is filled with lots of SONSHINE! 😘🍂
