Did you meet our two favorites animals on our Homestead in my reel yesterday?

If not, go back so I can introduce you to Edmund and Lucy and why they are a wonderful resource to have!

Speaking of rabbits, we are adding two new things to our market this weekend…

“Organic Farmhouse Fertilizer” a natural compost that you can use for your garden or house plants.

“Organic Chew Sticks”
Apple tree sticks from our orchard that are great treats for rabbits, guinea pigs, or hamsters.

All proceeds go towards helping build our little Rabbit Colony, making the cottages adorable, adding more residents and spoiling them!
(Just Not as much as the grandbaby of course!!
😉)

If you are a plant mom or have small animals that could use those chew sticks feel free to stop by our booth at this Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 or find me Saturday at the .

Did you know Upland Community Market is featuring a Food EACH week this Summer?

Foods you can find at our Market from one or more of our Fabulous vendors!

The herb of the week this week
Is…..MINT!!!

It is wildly known in the herb world, and loves to spread its wings and fly over anywhere in your garden.

You want to make sure you pay attention to where you put it and keep something around those roots to keep it contained. 😂

Here are some varieties you can find locally. They are perennials and come back year after year.

-Apple Mint
-Chocolate Mint
-Peppermint
-Spearmint
-Orange Mint
-Pineapple Mint
-Sweet Mint

Stop by Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 and visit some of our baked goods vendors who will have mint treats available.

The Bee Country
2 Moms Bakery

And swing over to The Little Farmhouse Shops booth where there will samples of different mints for you to try along with potted perennials if you would like to add some to your garden.

Stay tuned tomorrow for a Mint recipe that goes back over 100 years and is passed down from generation to generation in the Amish & Mennonite Culture 😉

Our Rabbit cottages need a makeover (and we are looking to add more residents) but they are the most easy to take care of animal on our Homestead.
They bless us with compost, and a sweet greeting every morning.

The Upland community Market summer season is finally here and opening night was a huge success!!

To all the customers and vendors who blessed me with your hugs, prayers, special treats and just checking in to see how I’m doing it made my day! (and thank you to my men who took care of all the heavy lifting for me!)

It was a rainy spring day, but that didn’t keep our vendors or customers away, we cozied up inside the building and filled it with some of our great vendors!!!

Spring brought all the beautiful things, beauitful handmade jewelry, beautiful dried and fresh flowers, homemade vanilla, and even one of my dear friends from out of town!

It’s always a joy to see our customers come in and get excited about their market hauls.

One of my favorite things is seeing other vendors, sell out!

These are my friends. This is community. This is what makes our Market family so special when we can be excited for others and their success!!

My first summer Market haul consisted of some sweet treats, delicious sourdough bread, beautiful flowers, and two special trinket trading tokens for my new adventure this summer at Gen Con.

Hope to see you on Friday nights in Upland!!
