🏡✨ Grandkid Village Update: Welcome to Legacy Hall ✨🏡

Well, friends… the walls are going up! 🥹

Little by little, things are getting buttoned up around the Grandkid Village before winter settles in, and I am SO excited to see my granddaughter’s little clubhouse beginning to take shape.

We’re still a ways from being complete but that certainly hasn’t stopped this Grammy from dreaming, collecting, and doing a little treasure hunting along the way. 😉🧺… Grammy is already decorating in her head! 😂

There are some very special pieces tucked into this haul—some treasures from my father-in-law’s rummage that once belonged to my mother-in-law.

That’s one of the things I love about thrift stores, yard sales, and those little treasures you stumble across when you aren’t even looking for them.

Sometimes you find something that is simply cute.

But sometimes…

you find a memory.

A handmade quilt.
A hand-painted sign.
An old trinket that reminds you of Thanksgiving at Grandma’s house.
Something that sat on a shelf in someone’s home for years and years.

Those are the things I love collecting.

You all know I have a weakness for all the grandma things. ❤️

My daughter told me I am “Grammy core”and I guess I didn’t realize I was trendy all these years 😂

Maybe someday my grandchildren will look at one of these little pieces and say, “Oh, I remember that from Grammy’s clubhouse.”

So come along with me as I give you a peek at some of the treasures that are slowly making their way into the Grandkid Village. 🏡🌿🧺

And don’t worry…

I still have a few more treasure hauls tucked up my sleeve. 😉

Fall is here, winter is just around the corner, and while the clubhouse may be taking its time coming together, Grammy’s little collection of magical things certainly isn’t slowing down. 😂

I cannot WAIT until next year when the weather warms up, the doors open, and I can really begin turning this into the sweetest little space I’ve been dreaming about.

I’ve been outside working on the Grandkid Village, trying to convince our dryer that it really does want to cooperate 😂, and soaking up this gorgeous October weather while I can.

Our shop page isn’t just about the things we sell. It’s about our family life.  It’s a community we are so blessed to have! ❤️
So we are reaching out to you our Customers and community for help as we struggle with one of those “real life” Homestead problems….

 NEEDING HELP:
Hey friends,
If you have experience fixing a Maytag Neptune dryer, please let us know…

Ours has been down for a month and a half now. We are all about trying to fix things ourselves first (while researching & learning & teaching our adult sons new skills) before buying used, or new.

We have now replaced the belt, the drum rollers and the blower fan. (All brand new)
Two of which we saw had wear and tear and thought was the cause of the issues…but we still have a loud rumble when we start it.

We are now at a place to get some “expert” opinion on something we might’ve missed. Before we have to find a “new” to us dryer. Our finances are a little tight so paying an Appliance business close to $100 to come for a “estimate” or buying new isnt the best option for us at this time. So we are reaching into this community to see if you can help us somehow.

With the cold coming in quickly our clothesline isn’t efficient enough now, but we are still using it.

So if you have any experience fixing dryers, we would appreciate any wisdom you would like to share to help us learn & fix the one we currently have.

(And if you happen to have one you want to sell feel free to message us…that might be out next option)

Hello, friends, and welcome to my farmhouse table…

It’s been a very, very long day, and as I sit here at 4:30 in the morning, the kitchen is finally beginning to quiet down. The last loaves are baked, the goodies are getting packed, and this farmhouse lady is almost ready for bed. 😂❤️

But before I go, I wanted to invite you behind the scenes for a little peek at one of my very favorite parts of this whole journey—baking and creating for you.

There’s something a little magical about a kitchen in the middle of the night, filled with the smell of freshly baked bread, the sound of crickets outside in the moonlight and knowing that tomorrow these little creations will make their way into the hands of friends, family & people in our community. 🥖🍪🧺

And tomorrow is a little bittersweet.

We are heading to the Upland Community Market for the LAST time this season. 🥹❤️

I know I should probably be sad… and I am a little. But honestly? I feel a lot like a kid on Christmas morning! 🎄😂

I cannot WAIT to see all of our vendor friends, our customers, the familiar faces, the new faces, and this wonderful community that has shown up for us again and again.

I’m excited to see what tomorrow holds, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store. 🙏✨
