🥖 Fresh From the Oven… from our Kitchen to yours!

Oh, friends…is there anything quite like the smell of fresh focaccia baking in the oven?

These beautiful loaves are fresh from the oven and ready to join you for dinner, Sunday brunch, or maybe even a late-night snack! 😉

We have both sweet and savory focaccias, because around here, we don’t believe you should have to choose between the two! 😂

And this Saturday, we have something especially exciting to share…

🧺The Farmer Market Basket Challenge Continues… Part Two! 🧺

Well, friends…remember when my husband jokingly told me that I could only buy what would fit inside one basket during our market adventures?

Apparently, I took that challenge very seriously. 😂

Welcome to Part Two of our Little Basket Market Haul Series! 🧺🤎

Because after showing you all the treasures I found at one market, I still had another basket full of goodies and wonderful things to share!

One of my absolute favorite parts of being a vendor is getting the opportunity to shop alongside all of you. I get to wander around the market, visit my fellow vendors, discover new treasures, and bring home a few things that I probably didn’t know I needed until I saw them. 😂

And let’s be honest…

I am pretty good at filling a basket. 😉

So come along with me as I unpack another little collection of market treasures!

You might discover a new favorite vendor, find something you didn’t know you needed, or simply enjoy watching me try to explain to my husband how all of this somehow fit into one “little” basket. 😂🧺

That’s the magic of a farmers market, though.

Every booth has a story.

🌿🧺 A Sweet Saturday and Another Basket Full of Blessings Recap… 🧺🌿

Saturday we joined the Fresh Roots Market family once again.
There is something truly special happening at this little market! Its such a sweet community!

We meet some sweet new friends!
Golden Matter Bakery & Hearth!!
If you are gluten-free and dairy-free and have been searching for a dedicated local vendor who understands your needs, you are going to want to follow her page and find out where she’ll be next!!
Their products were delicious, and some of the sweetest people we’ve ever met. 🤎

Millie the dog stopped by too!

This was OUR last Fresh Roots Market for the season I am looking forward to next season as a regular vendor!

If you haven’t visited yet I encourage you to go stop by Fresh Roots in gas city this Saturday and next Saturday and support those wonderful vendors 9-12!!

We are still amazed at how much you all love these little pieces of my Italian heritage. 🇮🇹🤎

Our adorable little cannoli case was also quite the hit!
But guess what?

We had a sweet customer bless us with another bakery case this week—this one for our mini loaves of bread! 🥖🤎

You just might find two adorable little bakery cases waiting for you at our booth!
I love finding ways to make our little space feel more welcoming as we continue growing our tiny micro bakery at the market.

We are incredibly grateful for every purchase. Every sale helps us continue building this dream.
But the love, encouragement, prayers, friendships, Sweet surprises shipped to our door and sense of community?

Those are the blessings that truly fill our hearts. 🌿🤎

🧺🌿 A Market Haul Challenge… Accepted! 🌿🧺

Friends, my market haul was a little extra fun this week! 😂

My husband jokingly told me that I could only buy what would fit inside this one basket at the Upland Community Market.

Well…

I took that as a challenge. 😉🧺

And let’s just say this little basket ended up becoming the star of one of the funnest reels I’ve ever made!

Friends, this week’s double market recap truly is baskets overflowing with blessings!

My day was filled with… labeling fresh-baked breads, filling our cannolis with freshly made, authentic Italian filling, and preparing all the little details that make our booth feel like home.

We decided to leave a little early…
we heard there was a sale happening at a thrift store close to the market. 😂

And friends…
Of course, we had to stop. 😂

I walked out with my arms full of bags overflowing with flannels, and I couldn’t be more excited! 🍂🤎
I’m getting ready to restock our Boho Chic flannels for fall!

Friday night at the Upland Community Market was a little slower than some market nights.

Sometimes those quieter evenings hold the sweetest appointments.
God slows things down so we have a little extra time talking with our customers, encouraging fellow vendors, praying with people, and simply checking in with the community we love so much.

And those moments?
They’re some of my favorites! ♥️

You all thought she was just the cutest little thing!
We sold out of cannolis within the first hour!

Our handcrafted teas were a big hit.

Instead, we’ll be joining the Fairmount Farmers Market on Saturday and enjoying some special family time during Upland’s Rummage Days.

♥️ A Little Fun Fact About Me… ♥️

Todays post is a little different. ☕️

If you’ve spent any time around our homestead or our market booth…or know me well you know…

I LOVE giving hugs. 🤗

I’m Italian, friends. 🇮🇹 And if you know anything about us Italians, you know we tend to love people with our WHOLE hearts.

(We also really love feeding people, so if you’ve ever been to my house or stopped by our booth, chances are pretty good I’ve tried to bless you with something to eat. 😂)

Between hosting around 40 college students, a double market weekend, family and friends, and having my grandbaby over, I think I’ve given somewhere around 100 hugs this week.

Seriously…
100 hugs!!!!

And you know what?

I wouldn’t trade a single one. I think hugs are one of the sweetest little ways we can tell someone:

“You matter to me.”
“I’m glad you’re here.”
“I’ve got you.”
“You are loved.”

Some people give those gentle little hugs that feel like a warm hello. Then there are those people who hug you so tightly you can practically feel it in your bones. ♥️
(You know who you are!)

Then there are some of my dear friends who aren’t quite as much of a hugger as I am…
(Like my husband)
But that’s okay.
I still manage to hug them in my heart.
And they know it. ❤️ 😆

This week, I was especially grateful to channel my inner Italian and love on so many people.
(Some even got more than 1 hug!)

To every friend who hugged me this week:

Thank you.

You may not realize it, but you were a blessing to me. 🤎

And just so we’re clear…

🥇 My favorite hug this week belonged to my grandbaby.
My husband came in a very close second because she was here. 😂❤️

That’s just how it works when you’re a Grammy.

So if you come by our market booth needing a hug just ask.
( Me not my husband…he is not much of a hugger. If my sons are there you might get one only if its Adam 😂)

This is your little friendly reminder today from your Italian friend…
