A goat skull and a few other skulls still being cleaned
This Goat originally came from some wonderful homesteaders who gave me two old heads with the knowledge I’d bring one back clean and with wildflowers carved all over, as you can see I’ve procrastinated on the second part but now that I’m more comfortable with my ability to draw flowers I’ll be finishing this beauty in the next week or so.
The doe was found on the train tracks, and is completely split down the side. This skull was sold to a local artist as-is without whitening or any fixing
I beetle clean most of what I get; bones that are too decayed or already have bug activity soak in warm water until they are either free of other bugs or completely without flesh. All my bones are whitened with hydrogen peroxide and I DO NOT use bleach as it will weaken the bone and cause it to flake over time.
