I had the opportunity to visit with a friend recently. She wanted to go through her closet and see what she could do with a few of her clothing items to make the fresh and new to her!

The green top, is a regular sweatshirt that I shortened. Then I used 2 pink tshirts that she was getting rid of to make the ruffle.

The gray is a top turned dress! The smiles was a sweatshirt previously cut to make shorter. The bottom is previously a tunic top, a fancy way of saying a longer shirt, that had pockets! So I cut the tunic below the armpits, and sewed the two together. We liked the rough cut on the sweatshirt and left it to add some character. So the shirt is a dress with pockets now!

I have really enjoyed taking clothes and remaking them into something new. Recycled and fresh! I dont need fabric to make new clothes, I need clothes to make clothes 😆

I took a mini break from an order to work up a dress for church Sunday! The shirt fit weird, and the skirt was incredibly long. So I revved up my machine, and whipped out a dress!

My daughter dressed up today to do chores... apparently dressing up made it better to do. She said it was just like she was Elsa... I'm not even sure that she's ever seen Cinderella...anyway, she was happy to do chores dressed up, so today's helpful tip of the week is to dress up and do those chores! Get those brain muscles confused and manic clean till its done! You're welcome 😅🤣

Something I have enjoyed doing lately is making my own salsa!!!! Mostly because I don't like chunky salsa, and finding the perfect salsa is HARD! I found this recipe on Pinterest, and now you can make your own salsa too... i did add some extra spice 😉
