The signs of Fall are imminent - the mums have begun to bloom, the last Sunflowers have bloomed, the last of the Amaranth will be cut today to make room for the tulip bulbs that arrive tomorrow, the dahlias are busting out the biggest blooms & the Ranunculusare are up. The pumpkins will be cut next week & the vines cleared.

The frost cloth will go on the low tunnels in the next few days and the tulips will go in the ground. Trying to get the porch decor done & close up the fields in the coming days. The season will end in about 40 days, but until then the mums will be racing to beat the first freeze.

I'm enjoying my coffee, as I contemplate the busiest 40 days of the season....I'm exhausted just reading it...lol.
