Open water swimming, aside from running, is one of my favorite sports. This evening, we swam at Old Mill Landing on the East River. It was a beautiful evening and I am thankful. Simple life. 🏊🏻‍♀️

I made this gorgeous hollyhock basket.
How to keep hollyhocks fresh -
1. Cut at an angle
2. Sear the stem bottoms in boiling hot water for about 30 seconds or so
3. Put in fresh cold water with fertilizer
You can also use Alum Powder.
How to keep hydrangeas fresh -
1. Dip heads in clean fresh water
2. Put in fridge
3. Keep hydrated and dip stems in Alum.

I will have this tomorrow as well as some other hollyhocks. I have planted a lot of hollyhocks this year as they grow very well in our soil. My favorite are the doubles.
