KINFOLK Candle Co. has been such a meaningful part of my story. What started with wax, fragrance, and a love for creating something people could bring into their homes became so much more than I ever expected. It taught me about business, branding, storytelling, community - and ultimately, it led me here.

To House of KINFOLK.

As HOK continues to grow, I’ve realized I can’t give everything the kind of care and intention I believe it deserves. And if there’s one thing KINFOLK has taught me, it’s that more isn’t always better. The right things, done well, matter more.

So, for this next season, I’ll be halting orders from the KINFOLK mainline collection and shifting my focus toward House of KINFOLK and a small number of thoughtfully selected Signature Fragrance Collections created in partnership with brands and businesses I believe in.

This isn’t really goodbye to KINFOLK.

In a way, it’s KINFOLK becoming what it was always leading me toward.

This work has taught me how powerful it is to create something that makes people feel something. HOK is allowing me to take that same idea and build it into entire brands, spaces, stories, and experiences.

I’m incredibly grateful for every candle burned, every order placed, every shelf KINFOLK has lived on, and every person who has supported this little brand along the way.

Good things take time. And sometimes, making room for what’s next means being willing to let something you love take a different shape.

Here’s to what KINFOLK has been, and everything it’s still becoming.

This brand film feels bigger for me than content. It feels like people pouring pieces of themselves into a vision and somehow making it breathe. It feels like stepping into an artistry that my soul is begging for me to step into with both feet.

So deeply grateful for Chris at for capturing KINFOLK with so much intention, artistry, and heart. Every frame carried the mood, warmth, and story behind this brand in a way that honestly left me speechless. Your talent is extraordinary.

To for bringing such effortless beauty and emotion to this shoot. You embodied our brand so naturally and helped turn a concept into something that felt alive, intimate, and real.

And last but certainly not least, to for providing the most breathtaking landscape, atmosphere, and lodge for this filming experience. The beauty and stillness of your space became such an important part of the story we were trying to tell. It was the perfect backdrop for KINFOLK, and we’re so grateful to have created within it.

A year ago, I was still carrying my son quietly beneath my heart while trying to carry this business, too. I was navigating exhaustion, uncertainty, excitement, fear, and the strange in-between season where life is already changing long before anyone else can fully see it.

Somewhere between working a corporate job, pouring, preparing for motherhood, and trying to keep up with the quick pace of life, I started learning one of the hardest and most beautiful lessons: you cannot pour endlessly from yourself without learning how to slow down and care for your own spirit, too.

Motherhood began changing me before my son ever arrived. It softened me. Grounded me. Reshaped the way I define success. And made me really SEE other women in business, too. It’s shown me that growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like exhaustion. Sometimes courage. And choosing presence over pressure. Learning that moments of slowness are still deeply meaningful. And that there is always a perpetual imbalance of life and its beautifully demanding priorities.

It’s made me more intentional with KINFOLK. More connected to why I started and what I love most. More grateful for the community that has supported this brand through every evolving chapter of my life.

This year, I have been given the absolute blessing - and with the support of my family - of ending my corporate career and dedicating myself full time to the things that fill my cup most. To this business, to growing , and to loving my precious family.

To the mothers, soon-to-be mothers, grieving mothers, hopeful mothers, and the women quietly carrying so much behind the scenes, I see you. Your relentlessness and strength is never lost on me.

Most places don’t need fragrance to overpower… they need it to write a story.

This fragrance trio was created in close collaboration with Maggie, each scent thoughtfully chosen to live within the Whidbey Island Cabin, not sit on top of it. The goal was never to overpower, but to soften, to deepen, to echo the natural woods, the stillness, the quiet rhythm of the space.

Each oil moves with the cabin, catching in the grain of the wood, lingering in the air just enough to be felt, not announced.

They’ll be lightly diffused throughout the home during your stay, becoming part of the experience in a way that’s subtle, grounding, and deeply atmospheric. And if something about it stays with you, the oils will be available for purchase through the cabin’s website… a small way to carry that feeling home.

Using scent as memory is our favorite way to experience it.
