Daniel and his brother AJ have been working with metal and wood as long as they can remember. With over 30 years of experience they have designed and built almost anything you can think of. Before or after?
I blissfully tore out this big, bulky, balustrade. Chunky, toe screwed posts. Broken balusters, it was time for a rehab.
In with new square ash posts, treads, rail and flooring and a nice gate at the top.

Want to adjust a door like a pro?
Don’t bend your hinge!
That causes excess wear and eventually squeaks!
This works very well in existing homes where doors need to be adjusted. Time is money.
Less is more. A simple strip shim on the front or back of the hinge leaf will simulate more of a bevel on the door or jamb. To stop binding, Which will also adjust and move the door. I did the bottom three hinges because the top of the door needed to slightly lift. I left the top hinge alone.
Think of it as moving the hinge knuckle in or out.
