Happy hump day, hoodlums. Check out my tiny book haul from from today. I got The Lost by , Truth or Beard by Penny Reid and What Fury Brings by ✨📚 If you’ve never been to this store, I’d highly recommend it - they have the cutest bookmarks, so my middle child was pleased with that.

Don’t hate me. What’s not for me, might be for you. I was a Barbie girl as a kid and that part of it definitely helped the imagination, however, in my 30s I didn’t anticipate going back to that world. Super easy to read if you’re on a crunch for reading a certain amount of books, though. 📚

Heyyyyy, a real post this time 🫡 featuring my next read 📖

This used to be solely a crochet account and then ✨depression, drama, the works✨ hit tenfold. Sooooo, then I stopped posting, and then I found my love for books - but I’m still creating - well, I want to. I have a pattern test in the works with one of my favorite artists and just finished 2 books yesterday - WINNING. However, I need to off put some of my yarn so starting tomorrow, I’m going to make a beanie or hat of some sort per day and try to sell it the moment the ends are woven in. Another thing I’m going to do is open back up to custom orders (within reason) for both crochet and book editing (again, within reason).

Okayyyy, so I’ve been seeing quite a few “slow burn” romance suggestions and this review is coming from someone who’s NOT a romance girly.

Yes, I was an ARC reader, HOWEVERRRR, I only applied to dip my toes into the genre after heavily steering away for years.

This book is part of a series, but Anjelica made sure to make her readers aware that if you did NOT read the first book, the second book still makes sense - no lie detected. In total I spent less than 4 hours reading her novel. It was perfectly pitched, super easy to read, definitely slow burn, super low 🌶️ level, and all around cozy. If you’re looking for friends to lovers, small town, cozy, easy, slow burn lovey dovey, please check it out. If I can find other novelists that write the way she does - I will likely put myself in a hole with a TBR entirely too long to keep up with.

I rated it 4 ⭐️ on GoodReads and annotated the heck out of it along the way (see photo for reference).
