Happy Spring everyone! With the change in season, I look forward to watching the trees and flowers bloom, reaching for the sun in their “rebirth” so to speak. That is one of the things that has inspired me to happily announce the rebuilding of our Christmas barn!! It has been a humbling experience and a difficult year with personal things in our family, but through strong support from them, my dear friend Richard , that is part of the barn, church friends, customers, people that donated money and time, the Amish community and so many more, we felt honored to start over. Thank you to our local shop owners that have helped in too many ways to say..Danette at Filomena’s Favorites, Lynne and JR at Ellen J. Goods, Lynette at Mercantile Royal just to name a few. I know I have forgotten one or two. We are deeply grateful. We were blessed by God that we did not parish in the fire as our home was 20 feet away from the barns when one fell towards it. Thanks to all the local fire crews that came and neighbors that helped. They extinguished the flames but our love for what we do and create couldn’t be put out. I sit here sewing new creations and look forward to those familiar faces walking through the front door. I’m not the best with words but if you know me, you know my heart. I’m not even letting my daughter proof read this!! It will be different , but we will hold the same joy in our hearts and bring you a homemade Christmas! We will keep you posted! See you in November!

I have run into several people last few days that are very excited to come to the Christmas Barn....sadly, I had to explain to them that it was destroyed by fire this summer...I hope we can get the info out and those coming from a distance won't try...Hugs for your continued support and thoughts... Thank You...

We continue to move forward slowly. We have high hopes for the future and will keep you updated. We will miss you very much this season and have already started creating despite the loss!

Our angel is now in a place of honor on the house. Again, my family, Richard, Chris, and I would like to thank all of you for your incredible support and incredible kindness shown to us during this time. We still have a long road ahead, but your compassion has made it easier to deal with. We are blessed.

With great sadness we lost my barn and 2 other huge barns on our property Thursday night. Our house and ourselves were saved and for that we are thankful. We cannot express the comfort we are getting from customers, friends, family, and neighbors. There is very little left of the barn that had already been filled with stuff we were working on already. We had set up the floor plan last week. We may have a few salvageable items that I may clean up after the inspection is complete, but aside from that we will focus on cleanup. Thank you from me, Chris, and Richard for your patronage, love , and support over the years. We appreciate you and love you all. We are not sure what will happen going forward but we know we have cherished every moment that you walked through our barn door with a smile and christmas wonder on your faces. That is what filled our hearts with joy for what we made. Thank you and God bless.
