Today, I am answering that call for help and providing advice on an entryway.

✨ One of the biggest mistakes I see homeowners make is trying to solve a design dilemma by buying more stuff. Most of the time, the solution is actually less stuff at a better scale and styled intentionally. This was that exact situation.

One of the things I hear most often as an interior designer is, "I love that color, but I'm too scared to use it in my own home."

The truth is, every paint color feels like a gamble when it's sitting on a tiny paint chip.

But bold doesn't have to mean overwhelming. When used intentionally, a rich paint color can add personality, depth, warmth, and make your home feel uniquely yours.

Before you decide you need a complete makeover to your dining room, check out the 3 simple changes I made to give this space a new look.

A lot of times, giving a room a fresh feel doesn't require a complete makeover. It's about using what you already have and styling it with intention.

For this living room, I kept things simple. I added a few new pillows (Amazon), brought in an affordable coffee table (Wayfair) for contrast and texture, swapped out the floor lamp (Target), and finally gave some picture frames that had been sitting in a closet a place to shine.

The result? A space that feels fresh, elevated, and more like home—without replacing everything.

✨ Sometimes all you need is a new perspective to fall in love with your home again.

Here are my FAVORITE white paint colors as an Interior designer.

If you've ever picked out "just" a white paint, you know it's harder than it looks. There are SO many to choose from, and you have no idea what color is the right one to create that bright and timeless look without going yellow.

Here are my 'go-to' colors that I have on repeat:

✨ SW Alabaster
Soft without feeling creamy. This color works beautifully with wood tones and gives off that cozy vibe vs. cold. And if you have honey oak in your home, Alabaster is the perfect color for you. This is definitely a designer favorite.

✨ SW Greek Villa
Warm, but not yellow. This color pairs well with today's design trends of white oak, warm wood tones, natural stone, and brass. It's a very versatile color, and creates that warm and welcoming feel.

✨ SW Snowbound
Soft greige undertones that work beautifully with warm woods, black accents, and natural textures.

✨ Benjamin Moore White Dove
Warm without feeling yellow, and bright without feeling stark. This color will work with almost any design style.
