NEW IDEA… and I need your opinion! ❤️

I’ve been tossing around an idea, and I want to see if it’s something y’all would actually be interested in!

Introducing Freezer Fridays by Supper by Sydney! 🥘

The idea is simple… let me do the cooking!

Each week I’d offer a small menu of homemade freezer meals that are ready to pop in your freezer until you need them. Perfect for busy work nights, ball games, back-to-school chaos, or those evenings when cooking just isn’t happening!

Meals I’m thinking about offering:
🍝 Chicken Spaghetti, Taco Spaghetti
🧀 Philly Cheesesteak Tortellini
🍅 Baked Ziti
🌮 Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas
🥦 Broccoli, Chicken & Rice casserole
🍗 Blackened Chicken Alfredo
🍤 Shrimp & Grits

And because soup season is coming…
🥣 Chili
🥣 Vegetable Soup
🥣 Taco Soup
🥣 White Chicken Chili
🥣 Ham & Potato Chowder
(Soups will come in 32 oz. containers.)

I may even throw in some Fresh Fridays with homemade pasta salads and other seasonal favorites! 🥗

💲Prices will range from $15–$40, depending on the meal and size.

❄️ How It Would Work:

📅 Sunday: Weekly menu is posted
📝 Wednesday (Noon): Orders close
👩‍🍳 Thursday: I cook
❄️ Friday: Pickup day!

📍 Convenient pickup at Southeast Middle School/Dollar General Meridian area.

This week’s menu is proof that we’re not wasting a single thing around here!

Homemade sauce becomes cheesy baked tortellini, leftover greens become Swamp Potatoes, and hot dogs get a full-blown glow-up with a Frito Chili Cheese Dog Casserole! 🌭

Around here, we call it “shopping the pantry”… my husband calls it “What’s she turning into supper tonight?” 🤣

I had to make a little adjustment to this week’s menu because my coleslaw needed to be used up… and I’m so glad it did! 🤤

Tonight’s supper was Pulled Pork Quesadillas with Coleslaw—and y’all, this has to be one of the easiest and cheapest meals you can make!

Grab one of those seasoned pork roasts from Aldi (or your favorite pork shoulder), throw it in the crockpot with your favorite BBQ sauce, and cook on LOW for 8 hours. Shred it up, then:

🧀 Butter one side of your tortilla.
🥪 Spread a little mayo on the inside.
🧀 Add shredded cheese and the BBQ pork.
🔥 Cook in a skillet until both sides are golden and crispy.

Serve it with a scoop of coleslaw, and supper is DONE! 🙌

Tonight’s plate is full of summer goodness—peas, squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers… all fresh from the garden! A huge thank you to my mom for sharing the harvest. Rita Bateman Gressett. Along with sausage, macaroni and cheese, corn bread and you have to have that blue plate mayonnaise on the peas!

If you’ve been around here long, you know I believe the right seasoning can take a simple meal from good to “Y’all need seconds!” 😋

These are a few of my current favorites that I reach for again and again!
1. McCormick Garlic, Onion, Pepper and Sea Salt

Well… tonight was supposed to be leftover night. 😂

Unfortunately, my boys had other plans and apparently cleaned out every leftover in the fridge. 🤦🏼‍♀️

So I did what every Southern momma does—I started digging through the fridge and pantry and somehow ended up with Philly Cheesesteak Alfredo!
