David Lozeau is a San Diego-based Day of the Dead artist who puts a modern, West Coast twist on Dia de los Muertos iconography through his unique, illustrative painting style. David Lozeau (pronounced Loh-zoh) has a quirky, character-driven painting style that wraps Day of the Dead iconography in a Wild West aesthetic, measures historical accuracy against Lowbrow absurdity, and blends fine art technique with illustrative humor to reveal his unique perspective on life, death, and all the gory stuff in between.
