1960's brutalist cello player🎵

9" tall

To honor the artist and their choice of medium, I left the body of the cello unpainted. The naked brass is just beautiful!

Found these guys on Saturday at Merchant Square in Chandler. Not only are there hundreds of thousands of pieces to admire, the place smells like BBQ thanks to the restaurant 🤤

It's going to be entirely too much fun to add a little something to these two! ~ Delightful Abyss

Coming up!

Antique Mantel Clock, Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Connecticut. Circa 1920 to 1930.

I found this beautiful ornate piece tucked away in a corner with a few items placed in front of it. The multiple price tags piled on top of each other tells me it was there for some time. I was ecstatic to find both the weight and key inside!

This is going to be a tough one, and.....I can't wait to get started! ~ Delightful Abyss

This deceivingly HEAVY decorative box is my current project 😍

Sadly there was no history given with this piece when I purchased it. I believe it is cast resin.

I have several image search apps and have yet to find anything like it.

Measurements are: 13.5" long 5" wide, 7.5" tall

The fun pattern caught my attention right away 👀 ❤️

I will update as soon as it's transformation is complete....stay tuned! ~ Delightful Abyss

Two bisque porcelain reliefs / wall plaques, Alt Meissen Art, Dresden, 1930s.

Courting scene from the Castle-Park of Sanssouci about 1750-1760. Total measurements 35.5 x 30 cm and 34 x 29 cm.

Each piece was carefully cleaned, repaired and painted under strong magnification. There ARE areas I was unable to paint, however it will take very close inspection at an odd angle to find them.

Sadly I did not take before pictures, lesson learned. The "before" illustrated below are identical patterns and frames.

Both wall plaques are completely intact, no missing pieces. Loose porcelain pieces were secured prior to painting. Light separation at corners of both frames have been repaired. Porcelain plaques are secured firmly in frames.

Please contact me (email or messenger) for pricing, payment options and estimated shipping costs.

Thanks to my late father, I have been a collector of vintage automotive tools and memorabilia for quite some time.

My father was a master wood worker by trade, so I also have an affinity for hand crafted items. The knowledge, attention to detail, hours of work and passion show through in each piece.

I tend to frequent the same antique stores, I see so many pieces over and over again. Such energy went into each. It's sad to them looked over time and time again.

Aside from those of us who are passionate about collecting our favorite pieces of history, not everyone sees what we do in these unique treasures.

My goal is to respectfully breathe new life into these forgotten pieces. To add a fun, funky dark twist to each.

The black paint that will be used in each piece is a custom color I designed and call Bottomless Black. It is a high quality, durable, and highly pigmented matte paint. It lays beautifully and truly excentuates fine detail. There is a very slight amount of tiny glitter within the paint that will show depending on the lighting.

I hope you find something that speaks to you and I'm able to add a loved piece to your decor!
