In Galatians 6:2, it says, 'Bear one another's burdens.
Notice it doesn’t say ‘fix’ one another’s burdens.

When mental illness impacts the home, God does not expect you to have all the answers or resolve the crisis using your own strength alone. He invites your family to bring the pain out of the shadows and into the light.

Faith gives us the courage to stop walking on eggshells and start naming the struggle openly. We break the power of stigma the moment we stop hiding our burdens and start carrying them together, covered in His grace.
Galatians 6:2 isn't just a kind idea. It's practicing your faith.

Tomorrow, we look at practical ways to replace stigma-driven silence with informed, grace-led action.

Some families learn to walk on eggshells without ever talking about why.
The 'why' is often stigma.

In homes and in churches, stigma convinces families that mental health struggles are something to be ashamed about, manage privately, not address openly.

The stigma around mental health specifically in the church often sounds like "just pray harder" or "have more faith." So, the silence grows, and the exhaustion deepens.

In 2 Corinthians 1:8, the Apostle Paul openly admits to being "burdened beyond strength,".
Faith gives the courage to stop walking on eggshells and start naming the struggle openly.

Children who feel emotionally supported by a parent show 40% lower anxiety levels. Support doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does need to be intentional.

🧑🏽‍⚕️Practical help:
Pay attention to intensity, duration, and physical signs.
These can guide you toward individual or family counseling.
There is no shame in seeking mental health support. Love isn’t just a feeling. It is taking action.

✝Spiritual hope:
Scripture gives language to emotions kids can’t express.
Faith offers stability when their inner world feels shaky.
Community gives them a place to belong.

Your presence will not remove your child’s anxiety, but it can steady them.
Presence looks like slowing down, noticing changes, and checking in before things build. It is choosing connection over correction when emotions run high.
Small moments of connection help them feel supported.

👇 Where do you sense your child needs your presence most right now?

Kids feel more than they can say.
And the younger they are, the fewer words they have to express it.
What looks like “terrible twos” or “bad behavior” may actually be sadness, overwhelm, or anxiety they don’t know how to name.

And as they grow, the silence doesn’t always go away.
Moodiness, irritation, withdrawal. These aren’t always attitude.
Sometimes they’re anxiety or depression wearing a different face.

👇 What emotion has been hardest to understand in your child lately?

God carries the weight a mother feels on the inside,
and her family can help carry the weight she feels on the outside.

Emotional health grows when the load is shared — spiritually and practically.
Even one shared task can bring real relief.

Everyone clamored for Jesus’ attention too.
Crowds pressed in. Needs surrounded Him.
But Jesus modeled something mothers often forget:
He stepped away. He made space. He rested with the Father.

His peace steadies you, and your peace steadies them.
And the peace He gives is not fragile or fleeting — it’s the kind that anchors a home.

Emotional health can be a 'step away'.

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you…” — John 14:27

Mothers carry more than the baby.
They carry the schedules, the emotions, the expectations, the invisible work that keeps a home running.
And most days, they carry it quietly.

Scripture names this kind of faithful, unseen work:
“She looks well to the ways of her household…” — Proverbs 31:27

Emotional health begins with acknowledging the weight she holds and the strength it takes to keep showing up with love.

When I heard this phrase - 'I am a human being - not a human doing', I thought to myself - "wow, you absolutely should adopt that philosophy".

And yet, I am forever doing. And I absolutely know better, and probably so do you.

God invites us into a different rhythm — one marked by rest, presence, and His strength in our weakness.
Emotional health begins when we learn to live at God’s pace, not the world’s.
