The last three weeks have been some of the most emotional of my life.
I launched my baby, , after pouring my heart into it for over a year. It was one of the proudest moments I’ve ever experienced.
Three days later, I lost my aunt.
Three days after that, we lost my father in law.
My days have been filled with the highest highs and the lowest lows. One moment celebrating a dream becoming reality, the next grieving people I love deeply. It’s been emotionally exhausting, and if I’m honest, there were moments when it felt impossible to hold both joy and sadness at the same time.
Through all of it, life kept moving. There were kids to care for, school drop offs, bedtime stories, a business to run, orders to pack, emails to answer, and a thousand little things that don’t stop when your heart is heavy.
Slowly, my mind is finding its way back to baseline. Not because the grief is gone, but because that’s what we do. We keep showing up. We keep putting one foot in front of the other.
What has carried me through these past few weeks is the incredible support from my friends, my family, and this community. Every order, every message, every share, every encouraging word has meant more than I can put into words. So many people have gone out of their way to help make this launch a success, and I will never forget that.
Building a company can feel lonely sometimes, but these past few weeks reminded me that I am not doing it alone.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing in Silly Unicorn. And thank you for carrying me through one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking chapters of my life.
