Some progress pics. I added multiple rounds of ice to the Pants. The hoodies only needed 2 rounds of ice. Once ice melts and no more is needed, the project sits for a minimum of 24hrs. πŸ’›πŸ©·πŸ§‘πŸ’™πŸ’œ

Second round of ice. Will probably do a third because there's some tight folds.

First pic is pants in a fanfold, set over a bucket, on an incline. Looking for a little flow but I think my set up is wrong. I believe a solid base rather than a rack would help achieve this. πŸ€”

The two buckets each have a hoodie. No experiment with these. πŸ™ƒ

Kyah likes orange so I picked out my warmer colors for her 2 pieces. The other 2 have a couple different blues, Violet, and the last little bits of my bubble gum pink and fushia. (Need more 🩷 in my stock). Really hoping the dark colors don't over take the lighter ones. 🀞🏼

Also, I procrastinated this. It needs to be done by Saturday morning! 🫣 but in my defense, we just thought to do this on Monday. 🀣 Big chance this could turn into a belated birthday gift.

Kyah and I did a little something this past week. She wanted to gift a friend some tie dye as a birthday gift. πŸ₯³ I did the tying, Kyah did all the dye placement.

Colors used: Violet, fuchsia, bubble gum and jet black

Also this is the first pair of pants I've ever done! 😍

I made a few more dips! I could do this all day! πŸ˜‚ Definitely playing with these colors some more. πŸ’šπŸ©΅

This weekend I did a little project. My paint stuff has been collecting dust for 2 years now πŸ˜”
I had forgotten all about these cool wooden pendant trays I had. πŸ€ͺ
I still need to wait a couple more days to fully assemble everything but I just needed a sneak peak and these colors came out beautifully. 🧑

These pictures make them look a little more vibrant but it's faded (a little) in person because of the type of material used. I am not really pleased with these but that's OK! I learned a few things during this last batch. Like, this black dye don't play around and I need MORE ice. 😊 The girls love theirs and that's really all I needed to hear. 🧑

Definitely want to get some more going soon! Probably will pick up another Betty Boop this week. The fabric isn't the best but I want to do 1 more with no black dye.

Today's tie dye experiment. The 3 primary colors plus black! πŸ’™β€πŸ’›πŸ–€

The small blue bin is the Betty Boop hoodie and I didn't use turquoise here. Hoping for reds, yellows and oranges with some black for that shirt.

🌈 The large clear bin has 3 hoodies scrunched up. Hoping for rainbow like colors. It has 2 layers of ice. First layer has the 3 primary colors, then the layer on top has just black. The white areas are soda ash (both layers have SA)

They are currently locked in my bathroom because that's the room that gets warm the quickest and I need this ice to MELT! πŸ₯΅ I will rinse later in the day, tomorrow. Stay tuned!!

I know I'm not very active on this page. I need to do better with that but I found this cute Betty Boop hoodie at Family Dollar yesterday and the cotton count is high enough to hold dye. Now I have to decide how I want to fold it up and what colors.

πŸ’°πŸ”œ If Betty Boop works out, I will purchase more (random sizes) and sell those (unless there's a copyright issue?)

πŸ₯Ό I also have a plain hoodie and 2 zip up jackets I will be dying for me and the kids. If these work out, I will do a few more for sale as well.πŸ’œ

✏️I will keep this page up to date on the process as i do it. I will be using a new to me brand of dye as well. Probably by Friday!

πŸ”œπŸ’‘My goal for winter is to stock up supply for next summers festivals. I have some experiments to do still with different brand dyes and finding a good quality shirt that's affordable.
