I've been asked a few times if we are doing the Christmas Connection again this year.

No. Maybe next year.

Last year the IX Center ended shows and all shows had to move to another location. The Christmas Connection selected the Cleveland Convention center downtown. I've done 1 show there a few years ago and am familiar with the parking challenges and how much smaller that space is. The Christmas Connection has been at the IX Center for the last 24 years. So this would be a big change. I decided to sit this year out and see how it went in the new location.

Then things changed again. The deal the IX Center had in place fell through and the Haslams Brothers (owners of the Cleveland Browns) came in with a deal that brings events back to the IX Center. And now the Christmas Connection is reaching out to see if we will reconsider since it will be back at the IX.

I'm so happy it's returning to the IX Center. It's a MUCH better location for this show. But we will still sit this year out as a vendor and attend as customers instead. It's a massive show and a lot goes into it for each of the vendors who join. It's a multi-day show with really long hours and a hefty booth fee.

Sidenote, when the new Browns stadium is built, these shows are likely to move to that location. And I'm pretty excited to see what that will look like.

Considering this show as a vendor? They truly do have limited spaces remaining (I've seen the map of open spots). I'd be happy to put you in touch with the coordinators. It's always a busy show!
