Turning dead space into the hardest-working spot in the kitchen. 🔥🪵

This live-edge walnut over-the-stove shelf keeps your go-to spices and grinders right where you cook, with the natural edge showing off the grain. Walnut end uprights frame it, and a steel rod up front keeps everything from sliding off.

Handmade, one at a time. No two live edges are alike.

The reveal: it's a flying squirrel nesting box! 🐿️🪵

sorry to the fish, who did not get a fishing shack.

This one's handcrafted at Haas Custom Woodworks for the night shift. Flying squirrels are out after dark, so a cozy, safe place to nest and warm up is a big deal come a Wisconsin winter.

Move-in ready. The clients are already scouting the neighborhood. 😄

Want one for your backyard? Message us to order a custom nesting box.

Something's coming off the bench at HCW. 👀🪵

The next build is almost done, and the clue is in this photo. Look closely, because the clients are already in it.

Our official guess: a tiny cedar ice-fishing shack for... fish. (The rusty one in the picture seems interested.) 🐟

Think you know better? Drop your guess in the comments. Reveal coming soon!

Round two on the 2 ft Marine flag, with a few changes this time! 🔥
What do you think of the new look? 👇

Looks like a shelf. Keeps a secret. 🤫🧲

This new HCW floating shelf has a crown-molding profile and a rich walnut-toned stain, and it holds your favorite books just like any other. But the hidden compartment underneath only opens with a magnet.

Hold the magnet to the right spot and the latch releases. A gas strut lowers the panel slowly, so nothing slams or rattles, and a chain stops it at the perfect angle. Inside you've got a hidden spot for keys, cash, jewelry, or a special keepsake.

No handles. No visible seams. Nobody would ever guess. 👀

A keepsake built to be passed down. 🤍

This mini trunk was handcrafted as a wedding gift for a very special couple. Made from solid white oak and finished with tung oil, it has black accents for contrast. The couple's name is wood burned on the outside, and their wedding year is burned on the inside, a small detail they'll find every time they open it.

📏 20" wide x 14" deep x 10" tall

Custom pieces like this are what we love making. Have a gift or milestone in mind? Message us to start your build.

The flag orders keep coming, and we keep pumping them out! 🔥
Newest addition to the lineup: a Thin Blue Line flag with a custom Middleton Police badge carved right into the field. Every stripe is hand-torched, every star carved, and that blue stripe was stained to stand out against the char.
Got a department, crew, or logo you want on a flag? We can do custom badges. Message us to get yours started.
