We had a great show this weekend at the Apple Fest in Lebanon Ohio. I met some of the nicest people and almost sold out of my pillows. Twice. The weather was amazing and I thought I’d share some photos.

This is what my pants have looked like for weeks! Maybe I should sew in white pants.
I wanted to share that I will be at the Warren County Fairgrounds this weekend in Lebanon, Ohio for the yearly Apple festival. The show is on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday 10 to 7 and Sunday 10 to 5. If you’re looking for something fun to do that has amazing food and great vendors come out and see us. Here’s a small sample of some of the things I’ll have. I hope you get a chance to come out  and see what I do create and why I love vintage quilts, vintage linens, and vintage sewing textiles. It’s gonna be an amazing weekend weatherwise which anyone who lives local knows is a huge blessing and a break from this heat and rain.

I always tell people that I use every square inch of a quilt that I possibly can no matter what condition it’s in. I have several large containers of quilt scraps all different sizes all different quotes that I’ve used over the years. I decided to take those scraps and just do something fun with them. I made them into refrigerator magnets. Summer serious a lot are very funny, and some sarcastic. Some of these are things I have said over the years. Some of these are things I’ve heard over the years. I thought they’d be a fun little gift to make you laugh. I will have these in my booth at Tinker treasures mall in Tri-County. I will also have these at the Apple festival at the end of the month in Lebanon, Ohio. It’s a two day show. And I will also be loading these onto my Etsy shop on Saturday. I hope you enjoy them. Let me know what you think.

What’s on my sewing table today? A custom pillow for a couples anniversary. I absolutely love sewing these pillows. I have a few more going to my booth. Some that will be listed in my Etsy shop and if you’re local, you can just message me and I’m happy to create anything that you want. I’ve got some new designs coming with this pillow and I’ll post more about those in a day or two hope everybody’s having a good week.

Well, I have been super busy. And then we lost power for a few days and playing catch-up. But I wanted to share this pillow that was a custom order that I did and delivered last week. I love how it turned out. I absolutely love this verse and I think I’m gonna have to add that to a couple of other pillows. I have some new pillows that I am working on that, I’m hoping to have closed up by tomorrow and I’ll show pictures of those either tomorrow or Wednesday. I am gearing up for two shows that I have coming up and I’ll post more on those later but I just thought I would share this with you. Hope everyone is having a good Monday.

A batch of vintage quilt prayer crosses. I have been making these for a few years now and I still absolutely love them. No two are alike. Some of them are absolutely perfect and a few have small imperfections. Which for me just adds to the charm of these quilts. They make wonderful gifts. I have made them for weddings. I have made them for bridal shower. I’ve made them for Sunday school classes. I have made them for several different occasions. This batch will be split up. A few will be on my Etsy shop tonight and the rest will be going to a new little booth area that I have that I will be showing on Friday. Check my Etsy shop out tonight after 8 PM Eastern time and you will find them listed on there. If you have an old family quilt or a favorite quilt and you would like some things made out of it to gift people for gifts please message me because I also do that as well.

I have been slammed working in my sewing room for a few upcoming shows. I was cleaning my sewing room and have a ton of vintage quilt scraps that I just don’t have the heart to throw away. When I say that I try to use every square inch of a quilt, I really tried to use it all. It has been so hot in Cincinnati. The past few weeks or basically the whole summer, so I decided to throw some quilt scraps on some large hair clips. I thought they turned out kind of cute. There are nothing special, nothing to ride home about, they’re a little different and if you love quilts and vintage quilts, then this is for you. I’m gonna take these to my shows and hand a few out for gifts. If you want me to do a super quick tutorial on these? Let me know. I’ll be happy to do that so you can make your own.
