Honored that Nickel & Oak Design was a finalist in the 2026 Milwaukee Home Design Awards for the second year in a row! ✨ This year, we brought home Silver in the Contemporary Kitchen category.
A huge thank you to Milwaukee Magazine for hosting such a beautiful evening at Prairie Springs on Park . It was especially wonderful to celebrate alongside so many talented women in the creative community.

Feeling incredibly lucky and grateful to be part of it all. 🤍

From an underused walk-out patio to a dreamy primary retreat. ✨

We transformed this forgotten space into a light-filled primary ensuite complete with vaulted ceilings, a walk-in closet, and a spa-inspired bathroom designed for slowing down and unwinding. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to create a private sanctuary that feels like a luxury getaway—without ever leaving home.

Proof that the best spaces often begin with seeing the potential where others don’t.

Taking our clients’ wishlist and making it work within their space is one of our favorite parts of the design process ✨

For this project, we explored 7 different layout options — each offering something unique while making sure every must-have on our clients’ list was considered. From there, we walked through the pros and cons of each option, discussing how each layout would function and how it aligned with their lifestyle, needs, and priorities.

The best spaces come from collaboration. We love giving our clients a voice throughout the process and working together to create a home that feels intentional, functional, and uniquely theirs.

✨ We’re so excited to share that we’ve been named a finalist for the MKE Design Awards for the second year in a row!
Being recognized alongside so many talented designers is an incredible honor, and we’re so grateful to our amazing clients for trusting us to bring their homes and visions to life.
This recognition wouldn’t be possible without my team (Emily and Megan), our incredible clients, talented trade partners, and the friends, family, and community who continue to support Nickel & Oak Design. We’re truly grateful for every opportunity to do what we love. 🤍 Anna

This custom whiskey bar was designed with a Ralph Lauren-inspired aesthetic—rich, timeless, and effortlessly sophisticated. Moody wallpaper sets the tone, while deep blue custom shelving, dark countertops, a warm wood bar top, and a classic brass foot rail come together to create the ultimate spot for an evening pour. A space that’s equal parts refined, inviting, and unforgettable.

The best part of what we do? Hearing how our designs have transformed the way our clients live in and love their homes. 🤍

Head to our “Client Love” highlight to read some of the heartfelt testimonials from the amazing homeowners we’ve had the privilege of working with.

From back entry to beautiful primary en suite. ✨

This space was once the home’s back door and basement entrance, but we completely reimagined it into a private bathroom retreat. A statement green tile shower, black herringbone floors, and warm sconces create a timeless space that’s equal parts functional and inviting.

Sometimes the best transformations come from the most unexpected spaces.

Still swooning over this powder bathroom ✨ Between the bold wallpaper, statement lighting, and layered details, this space became the perfect pop of interest on the first floor. A small room with a big personality — proving that powder rooms are the perfect place to take a design risk and have a little fun.

Welcome to our latest project ✨ We’re reimagining the first-floor layout to better reflect our clients’ lifestyle and vision for their home. From reworking the kitchen to include a functional butler’s pantry to creating spaces that feel cozier, warmer, and more inviting, every detail is being thoughtfully considered. We can’t wait to bring this transformation to life. Stay tuned for the journey!
