I always think about how y’all will see these images years from now when you pull them out to look at them or even now.

The journey of becoming parents.
How just the two of you became three.
How your body stretched and made room.
How your husband drove to every store or restaurant to pick up a craving you had that day just to satisfy the little things.

It’s the images that tell your story long before your child was in the picture but when they look back it they’ll see mom and dad adoring each other. They willl see how you loved. They will see the beginning of an adventure they are now a part of. The start.

These images aren’t just for the here and now, it’s for the story you get tell your kids of how “disgustingly” you and dad were in love. 🥹

Have you ever been somewhere and you get transported to the moment?

You hear the giggles and the laughter.
You remember the smell of summer.
Unending snacks and summer bliss.
The way everything just felt like the “perfect” day.

Childhood summers are filled with so much wonder. It’s the sweet intermission between school and having the time of your life.

As Phineas would say, “So, Ferb, what do you wanna do today? There’s a world of possibilities. Maybe we should make a list.”

I don’t like to share this often, it feels personal…

But as someone who’s known the pain of infertility, any time I have the chance to document the joy and blessing of having a baby, my heart jumps for joy.

Pregnancy is nothing short of a miracle and every story is a journey that each momma has had to walk through. And I just want you to know momma wherever you are in the journey, I’m cheering you on. ❤️

Thank you Jesus for the miracle of life and doing life with people. What an honor it is to document something so beautiful.

What does cinematic actually mean?

Some people think it’s how an image looks.

Some people think it’s just posing.

But let me tell you a secret!!!

I would never be able to achieve photos that tell a story with just posing.

Cinematic photography is telling your story in a way that you are actually present and active in the moment together.

I don’t just show up.

I stay curious about the things you love.
I ask questions about your people and how you want these photos to feel.

Because at the end of the day giving you time and space to just be you and let your story unfold is where natural emotion bubbles over and creates images you can actually feel. These don’t just become photographs they become memories because you put away your phones, you focused on each other and gave yourself the freedom to laugh, to play, and enjoy each other’s company!

And if that’s one thing that I want to do, it’s to help you walk away feeling refreshed and joyful.

So cinematic photography is more than just a buzz word, it’s how I show up to help you feel at ease so you can focus on each other and create memories you can savor together.

There are so many amazing parts of wedding days but one of my favorites is sunset.

When the couple sneaks away just to savor the two of them and the commitment they just made. No more planning, no more to do lists… just celebration!!

Relaxation settles in and you can feel it in the air.

So if you are planning a wedding, always say yes to sunset photos because you will love just sneaking away with your hubby and having a moment to yourselves!

Lately, I feel drawn to the little ordinary things of life…

Mommas you know
The random snuggles when they jump into your arms.
When they beg you to sit on the counter.
Or the fridge filled with magnets and all of their artwork that they feel so proud to show off.
Books on the couch.
And always sharing your drink with them because coffee in mom’s cup is always better than anything they could have on their own.

These pictures aren’t “perfect” but they are real. There’s something about stepping into your home and noticing the things you see everyday and turning it into something you can savor.

Blessing and evidence that this life is good. That sessions can feel real and relaxed and maybe just a little elevated (planned outfits and intentional time together).

My momma heart feels all of this. Nothing is more beautiful than seeing you connect with your people.
