Deep Thoughts from the Funk Tank 🧠

Why is it that British people sound British when they're talking, but the second they start singing, their accent just disappears?

Seriously. Where does it go?

Does it clock out? Take a tea break? Get confiscated by the Queen's ghost?

And more importantly, if an American sings badly enough, do they start sounding British?

These are the questions keeping us up at night.

Your BBQ Called. It Wants a Better Binder. 🔥

Mustard works. Oil works. But somebody gave us an idea we had to share: use Flickertail Flare as your binder.

Pick your favorite meat. Prep it. Give it a good coating of Flare, hit it with your favorite rub, then let the smoker handle the rest.

Because if you’re already putting that much love into the meat, why let mustard have all the fun? 🌶️🔥

Experts recommend keeping emergency supplies on hand at all times.

Because nobody ever thinks it’s going to happen to them until they’re staring down an unseasoned plate of scrambled eggs.

🧈🌶️ Wifey Butter Biscuits

Sometimes the easiest recipes are the ones worth stealing.

We made a batch of homemade flax biscuits to go alongside some beef stew, but before they hit the table, they got a little Flickertail Funk treatment.

Wifey Butter:

• ¼ stick butter, melted
• 2 Tbsp. Wifey

Mix them together. That’s it. We told you this was easy.

Once your biscuits come out of the oven, brush them generously with the Wifey Butter while they’re still hot.

We made our biscuits from scratch with ground flaxseed for a little extra fiber, but don’t overthink this one. A tube of biscuits from the grocery store works just fine. We’re adding hot sauce to butter here, not auditioning for The Great British Bake Off. 😂

Serve them alongside beef stew, chili, soup, eggs, or pretty much anything that could use a warm buttery biscuit with a little kick.

And don’t stop at biscuits. Wifey Butter would be damn good brushed over dinner rolls, garlic bread, corn on the cob, or roasted vegetables too.

Simple. Buttery. Funky. 🌶️

Monday Morning Inventory Control 🧀

Some people meal prep. Some people count macros. Some of us stand in front of an open refrigerator making sure the cheese hasn’t gone bad.
