Electroformed Jewelry: A Two-Part Workshop

In this two-part class, you’ll be introduced to the art of electroforming—an alchemical process that uses copper to transform organic and raw materials into wearable jewelry.

During the first session, we’ll cover the fundamentals of electroforming, including the tools, materials, and design process. You’ll be guided step-by-step in creating your own crystal pendant, which we will assemble together in class. All essential materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.

At the end of the first class, you’ll receive a take-home packet summarizing what you’ve learned, along with trusted resources for sourcing your own supplies if you wish to continue your practice.

Because the electroforming process itself typically takes 8–12 hours, I will take your completed pieces to my personal studio to undergo the copper-forming stage.

In the second session, your pendants will be ready for finishing. You’ll learn how to polish and seal your piece, bringing out its final shine and durability. Each participant will also choose between a faux suede cord or a copper chain to complete their necklace.

This class is designed to be relaxed, creative, and accessible—giving you both a foundational understanding of electroforming and a unique, handcrafted piece of jewelry to take home.
