It may be a little wet this morning, but the Cheese Days Festival is underway! The tents are up, the vendors are ready, and there is plenty to see.

Come wander through, see what everybody has to offer, and stop by Smarty Earthworks to check out all the pottery I brought along! 💚

🧀 CHEESE DAYS STARTS TOMORROW! 🧀

I’m heading to Monroe tonight to get Smarty Earthworks all set up for Green County Cheese Days!

Come find me just off the main square, down from Baumgartner’s Cheese Store, in the parking lot at the corner of 15th Avenue & 11th Street.

🍂 Saturday: 9 AM–5 PM
🍂 Sunday: 9 AM–1 PM

Rain or shine — I’ll be tucked inside my enclosed tent with LOTS of pottery ready for you. ❤️

Cheese Days only comes around every two years, so come wander the square, eat some cheese, and stop by to say hi!

Fun fact: When downtown Monroe business leaders planned the very first Cheese Day, it had very little to do with cheese (other than serving cheese sandwiches) and absolutely nothing to do with Swiss heritage.

The goal was simple: promote Monroe as a “trading point” and invite people to shop for everything from cooking utensils and overcoats to new wheels for the buggy.

The merchandise mix has changed. But Main Street Monroe continues with the tradition of promoting downtown as a destination. Here are some fun stops and shops to check out. Main Street Monroe, Inc.

🏺✨ POTTERY PICKUP DAY!! ✨🏺

Come with me to Adamah Clay Studios as I pick up my finished pieces for Green County Cheese Days! 🧀💚

Everything turned out absolutely GORGEOUS!! 😍 And, as always with pottery, there were a couple surprises… including two hummingbird feeders that were officially sacrificed to the kiln gods. 😂🔥

I cannot WAIT to get all of this set up for Cheese Days this weekend!

Thank you to every single one of you who has chosen to follow along on this journey with Smarty Earthworks. It truly means more than you know.

I also want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out with kind words, encouragement, and well wishes. I'm doing okay. ❤️ Life has thrown some very big changes my way, and while everything is still a little too raw to talk about publicly, please know that your support has meant the world to me.

I'll share more when the time is right.

Looking back on today... ❤️

Today was one of those days that filled my heart.
Thank you to Sarah at The Speckled Alder for inviting me to spend the day throwing pottery on the front porch during the Stockholm Art Fair. It was such a special experience.

To everyone who stopped by to watch, ask questions, chat, or simply spend a few moments with me—thank you. You made today unforgettable. I had so much fun sharing my passion for pottery and meeting so many wonderful people.

And thank you to Nick for capturing these moments. Looking through these photos lets me relive a day that I'll remember for a long time.
Days like today fill my heart and remind me that I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. ❤️

Met the cutest little baker today! 💕

I had the pleasure of meeting Bakes with Love by Baylee, and her excitement was absolutely contagious! When I asked her about her treats, she lit up telling me everything she makes.

Baylee sells Brownies, Cookies, Puppy Chow, Dirt Cups, Ice Cream, and more—and everything looked absolutely adorable (and delicious)! 🍪🍫🍦

If you're ever at Dot's Tavern in Basco and see Baylee set up, be sure to stop by and support this young entrepreneur. I love seeing kids follow their passions and share their talents with our community.
