You keep waiting for an explanation, an apology, or one last conversation that will finally make it all make sense.

But what if the closure you’re looking for is in the very thing you keep trying to understand?

The broken promises. The repeated behavior. The disrespect you kept explaining away. The way they made you feel while you kept hoping things would change.

Sometimes the answer IS the closure.

You don't need them to admit what they did. You don't need them to understand your pain. And you don't need their permission to move on.

Stop waiting for someone else to give you permission to heal. ❤️‍🔥

Some lessons are easier to learn before you need them.

Know your money. Know your worth. Know your options. Keep important documents accessible. Build your own safety net. Have people you can call. And never be afraid to start over. 👠

ACCOUNTABILITY FEELS LIKE AN ATTACK WHEN YOU'RE USED TO GETTING A FREE PASS.
You can lie. Disrespect. Cross boundaries. Break promises.
But the second someone says “Enough”—
Suddenly THEY’RE “too sensitive.”

Nope.

You didn't become difficult.
You just stopped being easy to manipulate.
Because some people don't want peace.
They want silence.
Some people don't want accountability. They want forgiveness without changing, access without effort, and zero consequences.
But a boundary isn't an attack.
A consequence isn't revenge.
And refusing to tolerate bu****it is called self-respect.
They don't miss the old you.
They miss the version of you who let them get away with it.

Let them miss her.

Follow .inheels for boundaries, self-worth, relationship red flags, and taking your power back. 🖤

Sometimes taking your power back looks like blocking the person you still love.

Not because you stopped caring.

Because you finally realized that loving someone doesn't mean giving them unlimited access to you.

Sometimes you have to block the number, unfollow the account, stop checking their page, stop rereading the messages, and stop leaving the door cracked open for someone who keeps disrupting your peace.
And yes… you can still miss them.
You can still love them.
You can still wish things had turned out differently.
And still choose yourself.
Blocking isn't always about punishment. Sometimes it's a boundary you need because your heart keeps trying to negotiate with what your mind already knows.
You don't owe someone access to you just because you once loved them.
Protecting your peace isn't cruel.
Choosing yourself isn't selfish.
And walking away doesn't mean the love wasn't real.
Sometimes it means you finally realized you have to love yourself enough to stop hurting yourself. 👠
