My (maybe not so) hot take:
Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams both make great paint.
They also both suck at color matching each other.
Different base formulas, mineral compositions, and undertones mean a “match” is almost never truly identical… especially once it’s on your walls.
If you love a Benjamin Moore color? Use Benjamin Moore paint.
Love a Sherwin-Williams color? Use Sherwin-Williams paint.
Trying to force one brand to perfectly recreate the other is usually where disappointment starts.
