Turns out there’s a LOT more happening in my head when I’m holding a tape measure. 😂
I recently flew to Molokaʻi, Hawaiʻi to field measure our newest full-home furnishing project — including the main house, guest house, lanais, and every piece of existing furniture we may be incorporating into the new design.
And this is one of my favorite parts of what I do 🤍
When I measure a home, I get into what I lovingly call my "creative genius" zone 📐
I’m not just writing down dimensions.
I’m thinking about how each space feels. How the family will move through it. What should stay. What needs to change. Where the eye naturally travels. How the indoor spaces connect to the lanais and that incredible waterfront view. And, most importantly, what this home could become.
By the time I leave a field measure, I’ve already started designing the home in my head ✨️
This Molokaʻi project is especially exciting because it represents exactly where Interior Vision Design Studio is headed next 🌺
