Need some ideas? "Gift of Flowers" 5x7 Pebble Art with dried statice flowers that will last; "Tiny Dancer" 4x6 Shell Art if mom's little girl is a dancer (or mom herself was!); "Day at the Beach" 4x6 with Lake Michigan sand, genuine beach glass and a Petoskey Stone heart for a surprise trip to the beach; and an 8x10 Driftwood Art "Sandpiper" with mini-shells if mom loves birds. OR it could be an endangered Piping Plover that occasionally bless us with their presence on the shores of Lake Michigan - even right here at Muskegon State Park!

Maybe your Mom would LOVE to get a picture of the family. 📷 If you want a really unique, one-of-a-kind picture frame, I've got two of these left! The one on the left is 11x14 and the one on the right is 5x7. Both are loaded with beautiful stones and fossils from the Great Lakes (including Petoskey Stones, crinoids, horn coral, unakite, quartz, epidote, etc., etc.), along with genuine beach glass, and driftwood. Just some of my stone necklaces that Mom (including mom-in-law and step-mom!), sister, aunt, or friend may like:
Puddingstones found on Drummond Island, Agates from the Upper Pennisula, Petoskey Stones from northern Lake Michigan, Lightning Stones from southern Lake Michigan, and "Yooperlites", also from the U.P.
I shape (trying to stick with the natural shape of the stone as much as possible), polish and drill my own stones! Let me know if you're interested in seeing them or have questions!😊

I've had this "tree" in my workroom for a couple of years now. When I was looking for a nice branch to do my smaller Pebble Art Tree, I found it again. It was a little too big and too 3-D to put into a shadowbox, so I just found a nice piece of driftwood and put it on the wall instead! I just love trees. Is this weird??

After eight years, the sun has set on the partnership between Great Lake Treasures and Flowers by Ray and Sharon. The new owners of the shop continued to shrink my space and did not promote my work, unless I specifically asked them to do a Facebook post. I was no longer selling enough for either of us.

I still have a good selection of Great Lake/Michigan pebble art, driftwood art, my big stoned picture frame, stone and beach glass jewelry, ornaments, etc. at home, so feel free to reach out to me if there is something that you're interested in, or want to see pictures of! I will continue to post pictures of things I have (or make, if I don't "retire"), and I may or may not look for a new location. On the brighter side, at least all of my work is in one place for now! 😅

I will keep you informed on future plans, and a big Thank You to those of you who "Shopped Local" while I was at the flower shop. It was a good run, and the ladies working there are amazing!
