A small print can make a room feel more personal when you give it a place to be noticed.

If you’re wondering where to hang one, start with a spot you see every day: beside your favorite chair, above a small table, or near a window where you like to pause.

Then try this: stand where you’d normally view it. Can you enjoy the details without walking across the room? If the print feels lost, move it closer to furniture or group it with a second piece. You don’t need to fill the whole wall.

Swipe through to see how a framed nature print can create a quiet focal point in three different spaces.

Which spot in your home could use a little moment of nature?

Why I Changed My Art Direction After Being Booked Two Years Ahead

In 2017, I was creating graphite pet portraits and had a two-year waiting list. But I felt drawn to wildlife art and knew I wanted to work in color.

After more than 40 years focused on graphite, learning color felt like starting over. Then I discovered pastel, and one dog portrait changed the direction of my art.

Tomorrow, I’ll share what happened while I was painting the eye that made everything click.

Untamed Tenderness captures a rare and intimate moment with one of the world’s most elusive creatures—the snow leopard cub. Resting with soft eyes and paws draped forward, this pastel painting invites you to pause and reflect on the balance of strength and gentleness found in the wild. The careful layering of pastel highlights the cub’s delicate fur and soulful gaze, bringing both tenderness and majesty into your home.

These Limited Edition 5 x 7 matted prints are individually signed and numbered by the artist, making each one a unique collectible. Professionally matted to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame, they are ready to display with elegance and ease. With only 1,000 prints available worldwide, this exclusive edition is designed for wildlife enthusiasts and art collectors who appreciate both beauty and rarity.

The Story Behind Untamed Tenderness

Created in 2019, this pastel painting was born from my admiration for snow leopards—powerful yet fragile creatures whose survival is deeply tied to conservation efforts. While many see their strength, I wanted to capture the tenderness within—a cub at rest, embodying both innocence and resilience.

As I worked on this piece, I thought about how we all live in that space between wildness and vulnerability, between strength and gentleness. Each stroke of pastel became a way to honor that balance and to celebrate the quiet grace of this remarkable animal.

When you bring this limited edition print into your home, may it serve as a reminder of the beauty in stillness, the importance of protecting endangered species, and the power of art to connect us more deeply with the natural world.

The first day that feels like fall always changes how I look at the woods.

I notice the light a little longer. I watch the edges of the trees. I find myself hoping to catch a glimpse of the wildlife moving through them.

That feeling is what Faith brings to mind for me. A fawn can make you pause and pay attention to everything around her.

What tells you that autumn has arrived where you live?

The wildlife art we choose for our homes often reflects what we value.

A wolf may represent loyalty. A fox may represent adaptability. An owl may represent wisdom. An eagle may represent freedom, strength, or perspective.

That meaning is what can make wildlife art such a personal gift.

Artistic Inspiration

This piece was inspired by the mesmerizing glow of crystal jellyfish drifting through the ocean’s depths. I used soft pastels to layer translucent blues and shimmering whites, capturing the way light dances across their delicate forms. The result is a painting that evokes both the mystery and serenity of marine life—a gentle reminder of the wonders beneath the waves.

These matted prints are ideal for:

A small print can change how a corner of your home feels.
Place one beside the chair where you read, on the desk where you begin your day, or on a shelf you pass often. It becomes a little invitation to pause and notice the beauty of nature.
That’s what I hope my wildlife art brings into a home, a moment of connection, even in the smallest space.

Some wildlife moments are full of movement. This one is all about stillness.

Curled up with her tail tucked close, Ruby looks completely at ease. As I painted her, I kept coming back to that peaceful expression and the feeling of safety in this quiet moment.

I named her Ruby the Sleeping Beauty. I hope she reminds you to pause, take a breath, and enjoy a little quiet today.

What do you notice first when you look at Ruby?
