Blessed Beltane and happy full flower moon 💐🌕

This morning I saw bunnies, squirrels, and even two deer romping about the yard. Nature sure is awake and lively come May Day! It felt like a very long winter, so seeing the critters amongst the colorful garden beds made me smile (although I'm never thrilled about them treating the flowers like an open buffet).

The altar is set with Beltane bouquets and colorful candles to bring the beautiful seasonal energy into the home. Are you planning anything for the sabbat or full moon?

It's time for Beltane bouquets! 💐 Flowers are a popular symbol of the sabbat and represent the abundance of nature in late spring/early summer. They are worn as flower crowns, placed in colorful bundles on top of may poles, and given as gifts. They complement other symbols of Beltane such as the Beltane bonfire, candles, and depictions of the sabbat sun ☀️

These bouquets will go on my Beltane altar, but I'd like to make a few more for around the house. They bring color, light, and all the joy of the holiday into the home.

Beltane Blessings! 🕯️ The May Day sabbat begins at sunset on April 30th and lasts overnight into the first sunlight of the new month. It is a time of bonfires and flower crowns, fairies and maypole dancing. Bouquets and floral arrangements are a common theme during Beltane and carry the thriving energy of nature in her waxing period. Other traditions include divination and folk magick (especially love spells!) 🌹

Bright fiery reds and mystical purples are good colors to invoke Beltane energy. You might also include golden yellow for the sabbat sun or soft pinks reminiscent of spring.
