Thanks to the Cannabis Medical Council for this very timely interview given the news - finally - of moving medical cannabis to a Schedule III. (Has been a Schedule 1 with he**in and other narcotics for years!)

Some of you know, that we have not had safe banking, access to capital, beared incredible political roller coasters, and super high taxation for years. It is not a drug - it is a plant and I suggest one great organization The Society of Cannabis Clinicians to start.

I am still battling Cancer LMS Stage 4 and this is my 4th cancer in 28 years - but I'm still standing! Largely due to the cannabis community. It has reduced pharmaceuticals and pain meds in my journey by 30%.
Read up and do your homework on this amazing industry.

Cannabis-industry veteran Gaynell Rogers collects her stories and recipes in her new book, Gaynell’s Kitchen.

Some nights, the kitchen feels like a front row seat to history.

In our flat in Pacific Heights, the skillet was hot, the collards were simmering, and sitting at my table was the one and only Big Mama Thornton—laughing, telling stories, and reminding us all exactly who put the bite in “Hound Dog” first.

But what I remember most?
She loved the biscuits.

She took a bite, closed her eyes, and just nodded… that quiet kind of approval that says everything.

Those were the moments that shaped my kitchen. Food that brings people together. Food that holds stories. Food that stays with you long after the plate is cleared.

Years later, after my cancer diagnosis, I had to rethink everything—but not the soul of it. I found a way to keep those same flavors, those same memories, just made in a way that lets you keep coming back for more.

Because biscuits should still feel like home.
Cornbread should still carry stories.
And the kitchen should always sound a little like music.

Hungry yet? Bring these stories—and these flavors—into your own kitchen. Grab your copy here: https://www.gaynellskitchen.com/
