As most of my visitors can tell, The Horneks’ Nest is not currently taking orders and is not operational. We’ve recently moved and until we are in our permanent location, I do not have access to the tools I need to make things happen.

Hi, strangers!! Long time no see!

I’ve not completely disappeared. My fulltime job and kids keep me incredibly busy but I still try to make time to be artistic, though not in the same way I primarily did when I started. I am closer to being able to work with wood again but when it’s hard to get into the garage, I use my tablet and pencil instead.

A recent commission gave me the chance to draw my own design, inspired by another great scroll saw artist. I couldn’t find what I needed that had a couple and a pup, so I drew the pattern myself! I used poplar and walnut, and a little oil, and I LOVE how it turned out. I think I may have to make one for myself in memory of Ava ♥️🐾
