When we bought our 1968 home, the goal was never to make her look brand new. We wanted to preserve her heritage and character while making her feel like us.

The Hill House has come a long way, but we’re nowhere near finished. Follow along—there’s so much more to come.

The first little touch of fall has arrived at the Hill House.

I partnered with Plow & Hearth to give our front porch a seasonal update, and these pieces could not feel more at home here. The wreaths, lighted fall trees and those precious metal turkeys add just enough fall without changing everything I already love about our porch.

And my favorite part? These are pieces I’ll use from the beginning of fall all the way through Thanksgiving—and bring back year after year.

Timeless, festive and just the sweetest little fall upgrade for the Hill House.

A kitchen banquette is something I’ve always wanted, so I was so pleased we were able to make it happen during our renovation. Cranberry velvet, blue toile, vintage mixed with new and plenty of collected layers. Beautiful, cozy and functional for morning coffee and gathering around the table. We’re still layering, still collecting, still designing—and loving the direction this little nook is going. Williams Sonoma

Welcome to The Hill House Edit.

Around here, we believe a beautiful home is collected slowly—not decorated all at once.

We mix estate sale finds, antiques, vintage pieces, reupholstered treasures, family heirlooms, and things we simply love. We choose timeless over trendy, layer old with new, and believe the best design rule is creating a home that brings you joy.

This is our 1968 Hill House, reimagined one room, one find, and one project at a time.

If you’re new here, welcome. I’m so glad you found us. And if you’ve been here awhile, you know my heart when it comes to home—fill it with the things you love, make it completely your own, and always remember… if you love it, buy it, then layer it. 🤍

We didn’t want a kitchen that would tell you what year we renovated it.

We took our 1968 home down to the drywall and reimagined the kitchen with classic cabinetry, collected pieces, displayed dishes and a Butler’s pantry—choosing timeless over trendy every step of the way.

This was the dream.

Who says you have to follow all the decorating rules? We certainly didn’t. From bold wallpaper in small spaces to mixing wood tones, creating a library/bar nook, and proving 8-foot ceilings can still feel timeless… these are the “rules” we happily ignored while renovating our 1968 home. Which one would you break?

Fresh flowers, always. A cozy home deserves a little beauty every week. Bringing the outdoors in is one of the simplest ways to make a house feel alive.
