20 years ago hurricane Katrina changed our lives forever! It took every single thing from us but it couldn’t break our spirits.

We couldn’t have done it without the help and support from our friends and family, from people all over the country & all over the world.

Thank you to everyone who stood by us in the fight for our survival. New Orleans is grateful forever!

It doesn’t always have to be the flowers getting all the attention, right? Greens are more eye soothing to me anyway. I offer plenty of felt greenery stems in my shop. Go check them out.

Product photography is a breeze when natural light is great. Not so much when you end up shooting at different times of the day. The warmth varies depending on the time of the day.

Yes, the editing tools allow us to adjust the warmth but not without slightly affecting the original colors. I find time between 8:00am & 10:00am is perfect for my flowers.

What time do you prefer to do the photos hoots using natural lighting?

The Dahlias are having a moment right now and I’m not going to complain about getting to play with pretty colors. Actually that is what I need right now.

After losing our sweet little Penny 🐶 I definitely need something uplifting and making colorful Dahlias are doing just that.

One thing about me, I’m going to find a way to paint my flowers.😂 The Dahlias are always so much fun to paint. This color palette was very pretty too. It takes a long time to cut, paint and then to assemble and even longer with my arthritic hands but it’s totally worth it. Don’t you think?

Hi!! Still remember me? 🤭 I hope so. It’s been a while since I posted anything on here. I can blame it on the health issues and on my busy work schedule but I won’t. It’s me. I’m just trying to take things a bit slower. I never stopped making flowers though, because it’s what keeps me going.

Talking about making flowers, I have just added these beautiful Forget-me-not flowers to my Etsy shop. They are tiny little flowers but oh so pretty!! The Lilac ones are my favorite 🥰 I know, I know, the real Forget-Me-Nots don’t exactly come in the same Lilac color but hey, my flowers aren’t real either so I took that liberty and I’m so glad I did. I think they turned out very pretty.

We’re heartbroken beyond words. Everyone in our city is devastated.

When someone mentions New Orleans, you think about love, music, food, fun & great hospitality. What happened this morning, has left a scar on our hearts but will heal together. We always do.

Praying for everyone, especially the families of the victims. 🙏🏽
