There are weddings that are beautiful because of the people at the center of them. Cynthia is, without question, one of the best humans we have ever had the privilege of knowing.
We met her about five years ago through her work with a charitable organization that Say Yes Weddings & Events deeply believes in, and it did not take long for us to fall completely in love with her. She is selfless to the very core of her being. Her instinct is always to give, to help, to serve, and to make someone else's day brighter. She is every bit as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
So when Cynthia chose us to help bring her own wedding vision to life, saying we were honored doesn't quite cover it.
In fact, one of the hardest parts of planning this wedding was convincing her of one very important thing: this time, she was allowed to be the one receiving.
For one day, she didn't have to worry about taking care of everyone else. She didn't have to give. She didn't have to put someone else's needs before her own. She was allowed to dream, choose what she loved, let us take care of her, and simply have her best day.
Judging by that smile on her face… mission accomplished.
Even the vendors Cynthia chose were a reflection of her heart. So many were selected thoughtfully because they share that same philanthropic and charitable spirit that means so much to her. It made the entire wedding feel like an extension of Cynthia herself—surrounded by people who believe in giving back and doing good.
Then there is Mark.
Mark truly is the yin to Cynthia's yang. He is bright, loving, steady, and calming, and somehow his energy matches hers perfectly. You can meet them separately and immediately understand why you love each of them. But when you see them together, you just get it. You see the love. You see the balance. You see two people who fit together so naturally that they simply make sense.
Even Cynthia's bridesmaids, many of whom we already knew and loved, are a reflection of the kind of person she is. There is something very telling about being surrounded by genuinely wonderful people—and Cynthia certainly is.
This wasn't just another wedding on our calendar. It was the wedding of someone we have known, admired, and loved for years, and being trusted with something so important to her meant more to us than we can adequately put into words.
Cynthia & Mark, we hope you felt every ounce of the love that surrounded you that day. Cynthia, we hope that for once, you allowed yourself to receive even a fraction of the joy you spend your life giving to everyone else.
We loved this wedding. We love these people. And it was an absolute honor to Say Yes with you. 💍🤍
