Ya'll my grandsons room is finished and I'm ecstatic with the end results. I suprised myself with that wall I stenciled. It took a long time to get it done but it was so worth every second, every hand cramp & backache, and every ounce of sweat. I'd do it again in a heart beat if I was asked to. Anything for my kids and my little man.
I created the design in D.S. I used reusable stencil film and cut out my stencil on my cricut stencil. I used black acrylic paint and a foam sponge roller( super absorbent) to apply the paint. This technique is the best way I found works the best. Offloading you roller is a key step. Doing so prevents bleeding which, in turn , leaves beautiful, nice crisp clean lines. I built the 4 book ledges, bookcase/ toy shelf, and the peg boards.
