Not so quick TV install in the French Quartes. This TV was the perfect fit for the space. New Arm mount now lets then see the TV in the kitchen area. Another customer converted to YouTubeTV.

My Thoughts: New SONOS Ace Headphones.

Picked up a pair of the new SONOS Ace Headphones today. I had high hopes for them. I was looking forward to provide a good solution to married people where one person can watch TV through headphones while their significant other sleeps. I was looking forward to listening to a record from a turntable connected to an amp while not having the speakers blowing out anyone that may be in the room or adjoining room.

Boy were my expectations not met. Let this serve as a warning, SONOS ACE is a nothing but a glorified set of Bluetooth Headphones.

The only Sound Bar that does the TV Swap is the ARC. The Beam, Beam 2 and Ray no worky. iI am told the ACE headphones will work with the Beam and Ray after a future update that has yet to have a date. There is no discussion I have seen that offers a date for said functionality additions.

So, Bottom line: If you need a new set of over the air headphones that are noise cancelling, The SONOS ACE may be for you

My feeling is that these headphones were not ready for prime-time. DO NOT buy them if you are looking for them tro work with the rest of your SONOS System. Wait for the updates to come with new functionality.

If you are a SONOS user, I am curious to hear your feedback on the new SONOS app. I'll be honest and say that I struggled with it when it was first released. It took a bit to become familiar with it but I still come across things that don't make sense or cannot be found.
As an authorized SONOS dealer, I welcome your feedback and am here to help if you need it.

PSA: A lot of you are looking at laptops for your child. If they are a business major, consider purchasing a Windows PC. Most companies are still PC and not mac.

Three things to consider:

Make sure the machine is Windows 11 Pro and not the home edition.

Consider purchasing the additional warranty that has onsite next business day service. This will make it much easier to get it fixed if something happens

Also consider adding the accidental damage protection. If they drop it and it cracks or the screen gets damaged it will be fixed.
