We were excited to welcome our newest intern, Payton Groetsch, to Garden & Grace yesterday! 🌿 Payton is a business student at Southeastern Louisiana University with a true green thumb, incredible smile, and positive attitude that brightens the farm.

On day one, she headed out to forage for moss to add a natural touch to the border of our pond. A perfect example of the creativity and hands on learning that happens here every day.

We’re looking forward to seeing all the wonderful things we’ll grow together. Welcome to the team, payton 🌀 💚🌱

A little appreciation for my number one farm hand. ❤️

Most people do dinner and a movie for date night. Around here, it’s digging pond holes, hauling rocks, and foraging native plants in the dark while trying to beat the rain.

Thank you, , for always saying “let’s do it” when I come up with another crazy farm project. Garden & Grace wouldn’t be what it is without your hard work, support, and willingness to get muddy right alongside me.

Turns out building a farm together is my favorite kind of date night. 🌱🌧️💚

🐛🦋 Farm surprise this morning!

Our satsuma tree is covered in baby Giant Swallowtail caterpillars, better known as “orange dogs.” At this stage they look more like bird droppings than future butterflies, but nature knows what she’s doing.

We’re happy to share a few leaves with these little visitors. In a few weeks they’ll transform into some of the largest and most beautiful butterflies in Louisiana.

🌱 A day in the garden, well spent.

From digging trenches and planting dreams to watching the farm take shape, every little bit adds up. Grateful for the sunshine, the soil, and the chance to grow something good for our community.
