Maureen Stevens Design Interior Designer Austin, NOLA & beyond, virtual, will travel
http://www.maureenstevens.com Hello everybody! Thanks so much for checking out my page.

My name is Maureen Stevens. Here's a little bit about me:

Details are my passion. From curating vignettes to decorating spaces. I thrive in finding the finds and just discovered the art of collecting...all while sipping on a cafe au lait & a french macaroon in hand. I'm what you call a newbie as far as interior design. This year, I started some props and set styling for local magazines and people. I've been blessed as well to do some event styling for the best event firms in Austin and staging for some very awesome realtors. I do adore collaborating! I also run an online shop for urban cottage decor called The Inglenook Decor...loving both the clean lines of an urban loft and the nostalgia of a French-inspired space. I write...I ponder...I create, and having fun at the same time. I'm so grateful for the follow & please don't hesitate to ask me anything...anything!

Busy weeks have me reminiscing 🍂 This 2013 home office in Austin, designed for a close friend, was one of my first projects. Those earthy greens and warm woods feel made for fall.

Calm materials, collected details. Personality belongs in every corner.

The best spaces feel like they were always meant to be. This nook is full of color, character, and our client’s personality, and getting to create it together, as a team and with her, made it the best kind of project 💙.

Custom Murano glass, murals, and the wallpaper I’ve loved for years! A few of the pieces we can’t wait to see come to life in some projects ✨.

As any designer would tell you, travel by far is one of our biggest inspiration! I find nods of my past travels in most of my projects! The quirks of an objet Trouvé, the jaw dropping architecture to endless color palettes. Here are my takeaways from an afternoon in Monterosso cinque terre.

Friday check: tiles = happy, counter = clean, weekend = close!

A favorite part of the job: antiquing! This time we went oyster plate hunting at some of the many wonderful shops on Royal St. Four stops, one great haul! 🦪🛍️
