Today, as I picked up my youngest from preschool, it hit me—there are only two more months until summer break. And then… kindergarten. 😭 How did we get here so fast?

Lately, I’ve been looking at him differently. He seems taller, more independent, so much more grown up. And while I’m so proud of the little person he’s becoming, I can’t help but miss my baby. Time is flying, and I just want to hold on to these moments a little longer.

That’s why this mug means so much to me. This day is a gift. A little reminder to slow down, soak it all in, and cherish today—because we don’t get these moments back.

Life is a darling adventure. 🩷 Isn’t it though? Remember when we were little, and every morning brought a day filled with wonderful new adventures? Everyday ordinary things were so big to us, and our imaginations ran wild with the possibilities of what we could do.

A dandelion brought us such joy as we picked a bouquet of them and gave it to our mom with a giant smile so proud of ourselves.

A cloud in the sky could be any shape or animal or could tell a big grand story.

Putting on our swimsuits and rainboots during a soaking rain in the summer, splashing in the puddles, and looking for that rainbow after the rain was just about the best thing EVER.

Where did we lose that sense of wonder and adventure along the way? We can’t go back in time to the carefree days of childhood (even though I would do just about anything to do so) but we can get pieces of it back if we choose to take a minute and be present. I mean, REALLY present.

This mug is one of my favorites because it is such a perfect reminder of every day of our life being a darling adventure. The good, the bad and everything in between. And it goes by so fast; don’t blink and miss it!
