A crispy, melty grilled cheese packed with creamy avocado, juicy tomato, and fresh mozzarella. Perfect for lunch, brunch, or a quick comfort meal.
Ingredients
4 slices sourdough or artisan bread
1 ripe avocado, sliced
1 medium tomato, sliced
200 g fresh mozzarella, sliced
2 tbsp butter or olive oil
Salt and black pepper
½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
Fresh basil leaves (optional)
Instructions
1. Assemble the Sandwich
Lay out bread slices.
Layer mozzarella, tomato slices, avocado, and basil if using.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and oregano.
Top with remaining bread slices.
2. Grill
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Butter the outside of each sandwich.
Cook 3–4 minutes per side until:
Bread is golden and crispy
Cheese is melted
3. Serve
Slice in half and serve immediately while warm and gooey.
