🍍 Developed by Dr. Carmen Hijosa, Pinatex is made from the wasted parts of the pineapple bush, specifically the leaves. Its 100% eco friendly, vegan friendly and ethical in the sense that it gives pineapple farmers yet another source of income from their crops.

The material feels like cowhide leather, is watertight and very durable. No wonder more and more shoe and bag brands are using it! In fact, H&M recently created a bunch of cowboy boots from the stuff.

🍇 Muscadines, sometimes known as scuppernongs, are my favorite end of summer “grape”.

🍇 Often mistaken for the Italian species, muscat, but these sweet babies are primarily found in the American southeast region.
⁣
🍇 They come in green and this beautiful dark purple. They have tough skin that can be eaten but I usually break the middle and eat the center. They are sweet and kind of gummy and very delicious.
⁣
🍷 Muscadine wine is a thing, but it’s not moscato.
⁣
