We bought these back in January - and really love them. Similar output as Celeb but weigh significantly less making them great for location shoots. Beautiful light and all the bells and whistles of the ARRI Skypanel - but again - without the weight.
Haven't played with the DMX but it's an essential bonus - especially as the dimmer k**b is not all that intuitive. You push it 'in' to increase the increment of the dimming from tenths to full-digit control.

Look forward to sharing them with you on your next shoot.

There isn't a single colored gel around that this Kino can't imitate.

Comparable in size to a Cineo Matchbox - it's pretty well made and the color is fine. Plusses include dial for color and dim and a good (if not great) build. Better than the cheap-o's not as good as the top say three companies products.

I did a pilot with Dagmar Weaver-Madsen last week. Like the series she discusses below, 'High Maintenance,' et al. it used a lot of natural and natural-looking light. Along with some car shots that were an integral part of the story, those two things made me wish I had picked up either the Westcott Flex Light (which still needs a battery option!) or a LiteMat from LiteRibbon - which needs to have more flexibility, honestly. But, both are very versatile and punchy. I have a lot of ideas about how to use the Flex Light, although I really wish it was made a little tougher.
