Cheesy Shrimp Puff Pastry Rolls
Introduction
These cheesy shrimp puff pastry rolls are flaky, buttery, and packed with a creamy seafood filling. Loaded with tender shrimp, melted cheese, and wrapped in golden puff pastry, they make an impressive appetizer, lunch, or light dinner that's as delicious as it is beautiful.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
Add the shrimp and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, just until pink and opaque.
Remove from the heat and allow the shrimp mixture to cool slightly.
In a bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into six equal rectangles.
Spoon the shrimp and cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry rectangle.
Roll the pastry around the filling, sealing the edges securely to keep the filling inside.
Arrange the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
